Crashes at beginning of game?

Each time I try to use a new jersey, it crashes as soon as it reaches the match-up screen. I've tried everything that I've read, but, I'm still having the same results. I can play as long as I use an old jersey, but when I try 2010-2011 jersey for any team, it crashes. I know that the patches created are n't the problem, so I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas?

If you have too many double resolution (2x) patches, the game will crash. You can usually get away with having 2x faces and jerseys but if you've got 2x courts on top of that, you'll run into problems.

i have the same problem... does anyone have a 1x court?

You can extract the individual .fsh files from the court .vivs and halve the resolution using FshX.

Is there a tutorial for that? I'm still a noob when it comes to modding...

OR is there somewhere I can find the 1X Courts. I currently have Jhiane's HC Courts which are amazing, but if there is some way to allow for me to run without crashing, I'm all ears. However, as I keep toying with these piles a little at a time, I get lost in translation. I feel stupid for even admitting that. I could use a good tutorial for these things.

You don't need any tutorials.
Here are the requirements to avoid crashes and playing with my courts (100% no crash)
default scripter
default crowd3d / xcrowd
1x cfs and tattoos
check your sgsm if there's "large.fsh" and delete it

If it works, it'd be because it's in the wrong folder and the game isn't loading it.

i have made a mistake... from that i made a solution...

It is not a solution.It is just a file in the wrong folder that is not being loaded.It is something that i would not suggest to anybody.The file is meant to be in the sgsm folder.It is not meant to be in the sgsm/feenv folder.

Jhiane, I assume that all your patches are compatible with Andrew's? What I mean is...if I were to perform a fresh install...run Andrew's Roster patch, then copy in your courts and otherwise...it shouldn't crash right? I'm still having problems with it crashing. Should I not use the TUP11 patches? Are those what's causing my crash? I've tried all my options...except for clean install. Last ditch effort for no crash gameplay.

PS...I'm gonna try to develop my own sig...seeing all these makes me brainstorm!

The NLSC update includes Jhiane's 30 team court update pack (along with the updated All-Star court) along with the fix Dc311 made. I didn't experience any crashes testing the latest version - which also includes 2x jerseys and faces - so you should be right installing v4.1 on a fresh install of NBA Live 08. Previous versions might have had a few problems but Dc311's fix seems to have done the trick.
