Rebounding problem

I am playing with a 7'2'' guy, who's supposed to be monster at grabbing rebounds. But in the game, he averages like 4 or 5 rpg. Once, in 18 minutes, he grabbed only 2 rebounds . How do I increase his rebounding? His defensive rebounding is 95, defensive awareness 98, jumping 93. I also increased gameplay stats to 99 rebounds, but no change. Please help!

Probably a problem with the sim engine. Nothing can be done about that, in simulation there are some crazy stats being put up.

You can try one of the sim engine fixes (there's at least one in our Downloads section, made by yesky) but the bottom line is that NBA Live 08 PC was a very flawed release, one of the major problems being a messed up sim engine resulting in unrealistic and unreasonable simulated statistics.

Thanks for the reply, but I am playing an Euroleague mod and I don't know if the sim engine will work. The player in question is Arvydas Sabonis; a 6'6'' small forward grabs more rebounds than him (5.3 rpg)... how embarrasing . I'll try it out, though.

It doesn't matter which roster you're using. It comes down to how the game makes use of the player ratings when generating stats, so a modified sim engine file will have an effect on the situation.

The sim engine slightly increased the rebounding, but not much. I played a game and he grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. Mediocre, but I guess it's better than his 2 rebounds in 18 minutes. Thanks!

Sadly, NBA Live 08's default sim engine is pretty messed up to say the least and while the fix does its best, the results still aren't exactly what we want of the game. As I said, NBA Live 08 PC was a very flawed release.
