Question on Player Creation on NBA LIVE 08

i want to start a dynasty with a roster of 15 players which is us. i created 15 players with same ratings in each category (all are 50). so basically, they're suppose to have a rating of 60. but when i checked them at the edit player and/or delete player. some of them have a rating of 61. but if i look at their skills/stats, they have 50. i wonder how did that happen.

Someone more knowledgeable can correct me if i'm wrong:

There is a field in the player.dbf that is used to calculate overall player rating, how it works i'm not sure. is it random? maybe...which might mean why some players are 61 and others are 60

Also it might be depending on positions, for example a PG with a 50 dribbling skills is weighted more than a C with 50 dribbling skills...do u notice a trend based on position? are players of the same position the same rating? if not its probably the top one

...either way overalls don't matter as much, is it important that they are all 60?

...also in dynasty mode, the field about "development" i'm not sure what its called...is there. it basically says "on a scale of 1-5, what are the chances of this player developing?" so the training camps and assistant training might come into play...maybe?

KidJustin is right, that's just the way the game calculates the overall ratings. Depending on the position players are assigned, you might end up with either 60 or 61, as you've experienced.
