Roster Patch Age Fixes

The latest version of the Age Fixes for the NLSC Updates can be found here. These fixes will modify the birthdates for all players in the rosters (specifically changing the year they were born) so that they will be the correct age upon starting a new Dynasty game. Each fix also includes a file that will restore the original birthdates if you change your mind and want to go back to the correct date of birth data.

Hi, are these age fixes included in the newer versions or do you need to download them as well?

I didn't actually include them in v3.1, I'll have to do that for v3.2. For now you'll have to download them seperately but they actually cover all the players included in v3.1 so there shouldn't be any problems.

Sorry Andrew but I don't get it... why would we use an age fix patch?

Because we can't change the starting year, the players are younger than they ought to be when you start a Dynasty game. This is particularly noticeable with rookies since we've got players born in 1989 and 1990 in the league now, when you start a new Dynasty game in NBA Live 2005 they'll be in their mid-teens. It's not as bad for 07 and 08 but they're still only 16-17. The age fix changes their birthdate data so they appear older from the beginning of Dynasty Mode. Players on the verge of retirement in real lfie will also retire in a more reasonable timeframe as well.

Hi Andrew, when will the new age patch be released? I'm using the updated roster (2009/2010) and when i run the age fix, even the rookies gets older by 3 years.

They're meant to get older by three years; that's the point. Because the games are a few years old, everyone's ages are wrong.

The next roster update will have a few new players added so I guess I'll have to update the Age Fixes as well.

Once again I haven't included the age fixes in the actual release, but new versions of all the age fixes have been uploaded and can be downloaded from the links in the first post.

Place the batch file in a roster save folder and run it. Please see the readme file for full instructions.

where is the roster save folder at

Under your Documents folder. There'll be a folder for NBA Live 2005-08 (whichever one you're playing), the saves folder can be found in there. The roster save folders for the NLSC update are called NLSC0910 and 0910Uninjured. If you get stuck, you can run a Windows search for NLSC0910 or 0910Uninjured and it'll locate those folders for you.

Age Fixes have been updated to include Sundiata Gaines, added in the newly released v3.5 of the current roster updates.

Age Fixes have been updated for the newly released v3.8 rosters (NBA Live 2005-08).

New versions of the fixes released for v4.0. No updates were required with the v3.9 release.
