You might want to check the DBF Editing Guides. They include guides to all the stats columns in teams.dbf and players.dbf.

i can't find the player pts and team pts in players and teams DBF. is there any way to change the pts stats...?????

The number of points is calculated from the stats for made field goals, free throws and three pointers.

Depending on which stats you're trying to change, you might need edit tmcareer.dbf instead.

The problem could be happening because of the patches installed. Try to remove the court files of the Lakers and Magic.

I have the same problem too(using TUP's rosters). But when I tried using Alby's older roster it solved the problem. Maybe,I repeat maybe the crashing was caused by your roster's database not the art files.
