D-League Mod- Continued

I am starting work on a new D-league roster for the coming 09-10 season that will start in November. Getting an early start will assure that I will have it completed by that time. I already had a base for the roster that I did last year, I am just going to take it from there.
I am doing this with hopes that the D-league mod can be re-started and ultimately completed this time around. The mod was very promising and had made lots of progress in early 2008.

This mod was pretty close to completion, with a little more help and the return of karposter can be finished.
This league is great and really started to attract my attention with the addition of two new teams, “Finally” coming to the North East- New England area.
Maine and Springfield, Massachusetts (Home of the Basketball Hall of Fame) will get teams for the coming season; making it a total of 16 NBA developmental teams.

I have all intentions on completing this roster; the rest will be on all the great patchers who may want to help out.
After you see all the progress that was done, and if you want to get on board; let me know.

LLOYD29- Yes I am interested.
Reno and Erie were the two new teams for 08-09 season.
For 09-10 season Anaheim is out with Springfield replacing them, and also The Maine Red Claws will be added for the 2009-10 season.

So from the previous work that was done in early 2008, there will be four new teams that will need everything.

LLoyd29, so far for the roster, I have the teams.dbf, location.dbf, teamsgear.dbf and coaches.dbf complete for last season.
I also have some players added to the players.dbf and appearance.dbf, but not even close to being all of them. That is what i am working on.

btw, good luck in your upcoming project. i was really looking forward at that previous project you made until it got locked. more power to that!

oh yeah, how about making this mod playable with other nba teams (you know, so that we can have NBA vs. D-League, how cool is that?).

TIP: if ever you liked my idea, try changing the TEAMCODE of every D-League team to 13, so the mod won't experience crashes.

That's a great idea. The TUP MOD should absorb the D-League patch. It would be awesome

Maybe there is a team near you, and maybe just maybe that will get you exctited enough to want to help out. Need graphical help!

Here is the news on the D-League Mod:
I got in contact with karposter; he no longer had any of the D-league files. Fortunately I still had all the work saved on my backup, so no work was lost. But unfortunately karposter also informed me that because of work and school he would not have time to continue work on this mod.
That will not stop me though; I am taking over as master of the mod, and will see it to its completion. I am chugging away daily at the roster and it’s starting to look more and more like a real working roster each day.

A new list with all the new team abbreviations will be coming soon. I am waiting for the D-league to unveil the Springfield team name on June 10th first.
A spreadsheet with what we have, and what is needed is also in the works; so look out for that.

There is still allot of work left to be done. We badly need graphical help from experienced patchers with jersey previews, courts, more logos and a host of other smaller things.

LLOYD29- I finally got around to looking at what you sent me. I didn't know the extent of what you made; until i looked. Nice work!

I did Reno up and the preview jersey to test it out and see how it looked. They all came out real nice. But man that was alot of work, especially when i am trying to do the roster at the same time. I had to rename 100 fsh files inside that Reno .viv file for the jersey numbers to work. Is there ann easier way?

If you are going to start renaming those jerseys, can you start with the Thunderbirds and the Idaho Stampede, because i plan to release a demo this summer with those two teams first.

The rosters is moving along fine.
Getting some help from LLoyd29 on jerseys, but need more help on the unfinished graphics.

Logos are partially done and we have three courts.

Need a full time graphics guy!
