Updating of team stats

this may be an advanced situation...

so in my quest to get nba live 08 as recent as possible...

situation:
i edited the tmcareer.dbf by adding stats/winloss records for both 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons

problem:
nba live does show stats beyond 2006-2007 season
...so how do i make it show stats of seasons past that?

You can't, since the seasons from 2007/2008 onwards are reserved for Dynasty Mode stats. If you enter stats for those seasons, chances are you'll encounter duplicate stats or crashes in Dynasty.

Tsk ! Too Bad . Thought that KidJustin could update the Team Records .
Arghhhh ! EA Sucks , but I'm glad we have People like you whose changing this sucky game to a GREAT GAME .
Hope that EA reads those WishList that Andrew Posted for NBALIVE10 .

How does EA suck because of this? Because they didn't design their game so you could view stats past the previous season of a game that's going on a couple of seasons out of date? It's unfortunate for this particular attempt at updating the game but the reasons for it are pretty straightforward and logical.

Completely agree with you, MikeMan. The guys that made EA - NBA Live 08 were a little lazy. The first thing I noticed when I player Live 08 for the first time was the players portraits. Every player is wearing a different jersey, looking at a different angle, an so on.

But with the help and dedication of these patchers, the game changed. In fact, for the game to be better, everything had to be modified (arts - portraits, CFs, tattoos, stadiums, ...)

My point is that the reason the updated stats aren't showing up is a pretty straightforward and logical one; NBA Live 08 is the 2007/2008 edition of the game ie Dynasty Mode starts in the 2007/2008 season, hence in the default menus the highest stat level is 2006/2007 (the previous season). You can certainly criticise a lot of things about NBA Live 08 PC but that's not really one of them. I only say that because it's important we complain about the right things so that our feedback is more useful to the dev team.
