game crash at title screen...please help!

I have been playing the game with no problem over the last few months. Suddenly today the game started crashing. The game will open and load normally, however when it gets to the title screen (Nba live 08 with pic of gil arenas) the game crashes and goes to windows and an error message saying "A requried file could not be found. Please insert your NBA LIVE 08 CD." comes up even though the cd is in the drive and when i pressed ok the error message comes up again. i also noticed that I don't hear the sound that I normally do at the beginning ("EA Sports its in the game"). Like I said the game worked fine before, and there seems to be no problem with my cd rom or my computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted the computer and uninstalled and reinstalled, and shutdown and uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing has helped. I have no patches installed currently. Please help. Thanks.
