NLSC Current Roster Update v2.4 Released...

A new version of the NLSC current roster update for NBA Live 08 is now available to download here. It contains rosters and lineups updated through November 30th. See below for full details or check out the official support thread.

Use the default aiact.viv file. I can't guarantee compatibility with all custom aiact.viv files and right now I don't have the time to change everyone's dunk package to work with a specific aiact.viv.

Sir, could you help me out. I cant get the update to work in a Lan Game (vs. another player). The update only works for single player (vs. computer) . I simply followed the installation instructions, did i miss anything? Hoping for your kind response. Thanks in advance ^_^

No, you didn't miss anything. To use the rosters in IP games, you need to copy all of the dbf files in NLSC0809 or 0809Uninjured (whichever one you want to use) to the database folders under My Documents\NBA Live 08\database (originaldb, currentdb, workingdb) as well as the OrigDB folder under the main game folder (by default, that's located at C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 08\database\OrigDB).

cause im using albys last patch
i got some crashers with some teams its not courts cause i removed the court, arena files,
and use just viv file to play with blazers and still crahes,
i reduced all faces to 256,
tatts and all.
and from reading what you wrote im going to start using your roster patch.

Well, you can't really because if you copy the dbf files from the roster to your Dynasty you'll lose Dynasty data like player and team stats as well as any player development and trades that have been made. I might be able to offer a solution to this using batch files, the same way I make mass updates between the 06, 07 and 08 updates.

It's definitely NBA Live 08, originally the first post read NBA Live 07 due to a copy and paste error. I've fixed it up now, sorry for the confusion.

Yes, my roster contains every player that's currently on an NBA roster, as well as all the players who were in training camp (they're on the Free Agents) as well as other players who are currently Free Agents. I've also added missing Legends and updated the Team USA roster.

when i play season using your roster patch 2.4 the game crash....please help me i f there is a problem

I've tested the roster thoroughly and have not experienced a single crash in Dynasty or Season mode, so there should not be any problems with the databases. I can't vouch for its compatibility with other updates you have installed, particularly custom aiact.viv files and the like.

i'm using Albys's RR8, what if i replace his players.dbf with NLSC v2.4's players.dbf??
will there any problem/crash??

I also tried it yesterday( I copied the players.dbf in Alby`s rosterpatch) but there was a problem with the appeareance.dbf and it crashed...I think that you have to copy the players.dbf and appeareance.dbf and so it would work I suppose

well, I can`t guarantee it but I took the roster file of realistic roster 8 as a roster patch and then I copied the players.dbf of nlsc 2.3 into the the rr8 and load it.It worked but the signshots of alby`s roster patch where gone...and as I mentioned I copied a few days ago the players.dbf file of nlsc 2.4 into rr8 and loaded it in NBA Live 08 and then appeared an error window(after the game crashed) with the content that there is a problem with the appeareance.dbf...so I suppose that you have to copy the players.dbf and the appeareance.dbf (maybe and some other .dbf where the players are involved) into the rr8 file.
I didn`t test it yet, it`s just a thought.

Can i use this roster update in NBA Live 2006 or at least cyberfaces?

Cyberfaces yes, but they won't be able to wear headbands. We're still converting art for 06 as part of the NBA Live PC project. You won't be able to use these rosters with NBA Live 06 though.

Can you release newest Roster Patch(Include December 14th)???(Include "Suns" and "Bobcats" trades)

Yes, I will be releasing further updates at some point which will include the latest deals. I'm not sure when at this juncture, probably later this month or early January. I don't have a specific date in mind for 2.5 right now.
