Error occurs when simulating season

Postby dyeggoo on Sat Aug 30, 2008 9:05 am

I've started a new dynasty with Lakers but everytime when it comes to simulating boston vs heat game crashes and error appears that there's something wrong with players.dbf in workingdb

It happens with either default clean Live 08, NLSC Roster patch or Albys Realistic Roster patch.

Delete all the files in workingdb, the game will refresh them with the default files. That should solve any problems that occur in the workingdb folder.

I've deleted workingdb but this didn't help. Reinstall didn't help either.
I don't understand this, because I have Live 08 for like 9 months and this error didn't occur earlier.

And Andrew, I love it as much as you do :)

That's odd, if deleting the files in workingdb didn't fix it then reinstalling definitely should have. Are you still getting an error message relating to players.dbf?

Yep, still the same thing. It's strange because a week ago everything was OK

Try this- Rename all the "db"(original/working/current) folders in the My Documents\NBA Live 08\database directory. When you start the game it will regenerate them. If the game doesn't regenerate the originaldb files you can copy the files from the "EA SPORTS\NBA Live 08\database\OrigDB" directory to restore the default rosters.

It also could be a hard drive issue. Maybe you could try defragging your hard drive.

Have you instlaled any game fixes that modify files in the "NBA Live 08\tuning" directory?

Thanks in advance

i think it is in the teams.db, look for the teamcode and divisions of ur team..sometimes thats the prob.. ;)
I never thought a role model should be negative. - MJ

A "proper" workingdb is just created by the game itself using your roster, that's why I suggested renaming all those folders.
