how can i edit net.ebo?

i finded a new net patch from this forum. that is great. and so i want make that too, but when i run net.ebo(from net.viv) to the ebodit and ebo editor, the program was crash.

i can't edit that file no more to my program, how can edit this?

My guess is that they hex edited out the ebo data into an editable ebo. Kinda like what the NHL guys did for their ebo editing.
