hi i was wondering if patches from 07 worked in 08? i.e.(nba street 07)
sorry went from 04 to 08 (a big change :shock:

Jersey's, Courts, CF from 07 work from 08. Well at least from my knowledge. Street 07 can't work from 08 as far as I know because of the roster and the AIACT.(You might wanna try though but Jaosming made a beta of Street 08 I think)

No, rosters for 07 will not work for 08 or vice versa.

Rosters for 07 won't work for 08, but rosters for 08 work for 07.

It's because of succession of the fields which is the same in dbf files for 08 and 07, the only difference are the hot spots, sig shots and go-to moves fields in 08 but they're added at the end of the file, so that's ok with 07.

Have you encountered any issues doing that? Crashes in Dynasty Mode, etc?

I haven't even tried, but when I extracted my rosters for Live 08 to 07 and loaded them in game everything seemed to be fine. To make sure I'll check it today.

I'll give it a shot as well...it'll definitely streamline doing the 08 and 07 updates which should allow me to catch up on my work on 06 for the NBA Live PC project. Thanks for the heads up.

UPDATE: Gave it a try and didn't get any crashes during gameplay or Dynasty Mode, all roster functions seem to work as normal as well. I didn't substitute any databases with their 07 equivalents either and there weren't any problems. If nothing else it looks we can update 08 and 07 much more quickly. Excellent work, Spree.

I simmed 2 seasons in dynasty and also didn't experience any problems, so it's exactly how I thought.

No problem Andrew, to be honest I knew that since I started patching 08 database files, so like 6 months. :lol:

Also it was a little strange to me when I saw that you're releasing seperate updates for 08 and 07.

Well, I won't be doing that from now on.

The databases haven't always been that flexible so I've usually preferred to start from scratch rather than convert but if I can update two games with one patch then so much the better.
