cant play online anymore since updating double l's

hi this is a prob i expireneced befire in the past when updating to updated nba live 08 by patchers. i just updated to dlc's nbalive.exe where bos lal default setting. but when i try to play online. the "ea sports online" link isnt there anymore . anyone that got this update are u ABLE to play ea sports online. becasue the link isnt there no more just the play online (LAN IP). how can i fix this WITHOUT REINSTALLING THE WHOLE GAME??? way too many good files to redownload and install from courts to jerseys. so can someone fix this without me having to re start over??

i have the pc version of the game. DOUBLE LC posted an update with the lakers/celtics setting default but if he disabled easo why did he do it. i do nothing but play online i havent even played all star weekend or any other mode but online i need online WITHOUT uninstalling the game and re installing it.

anybody gonna reply man i mis my ea sports online with nba live 08. i do NOT want to uninstall and reinstall the game so can someone tell me how i can get the ea sports online tab to show back up in my nba live

there was never EA Sports Online (EASO) in Live 08

It was never included in 08 and was taken down for all previous PC Lives

but i played last week in the lobby of ea sports online so did they shut it down already??? there is no live 09 coming out this year so wouldnt it be fair ot leave it up because everyone im sure not gonna get a console jsut to get madden 09 and nba live 09. i got a ps2 and renting games from gamefly im problaby try out both games to see which one i like the most nba 2k9 or live 09

ok then check this out. the last time i played nba live 08 PC ONLINE was july 15. after i played my last game, i came ot this site to check on DOUBLE LC'S TNT MOD UPDATE. i DOWNLOADED HIS NBALIVE.EXE FILE (UPDATED) where the lakers/celtics ARE THE DEFAULT TEAMS AT TEAM SELECT. i clicked game modes then play online thats when i DIDNT see the link anymore. if i DID NOT update to LC'S modification i WOULD STILL BE PLAYING ONLINE LOL FOR CRIST SAKE. i can call ea and ask them had they takin it down for the year.

no, you idiot, I have the PC version, but seriously, prove me wrong, goto your EA sports folder, rename the NBA Live 08 folder to "I'm an idiot"

I haven't installed Double LC's update and I've never seen the EASO option in NBA Live 08 PC. Considering all the people that have asked where it is since getting the game, I'm inclined to think I'm not the only one missing it.

yea andrew but i had it ever since i bought the game aback in octobor. had was playing online lasta week because i joined a new club on there and played serveral games but the link disappeared AFTER i installed nbalive.exe with boston/la default team select. it happened to me once before when i installed an update but i uninstalled and reinstalled the game to continue to play online. so unless ea has officially released the servers for the year it just happned to me when i installed the new nbalive.exe

That's strange, it's the first time I've heard of NBA Live 08 PC supporting EASO. Try copying the original .exe file from the DVD. If that works, please take a screenshot as no one else has been able to play Live 08 PC using EASO, only Direct Connection games.

i have the direct download adn i made a mistake and not backing up my original.exe because my computer froze and i had to restart so i lost the original file. could u pm me that original nbalive.exe? as i downloaded it from ea link.

Looks like it's in the EA Link version but not the DVD version, which most people tend to have. I guess we're both right.

yea i stopped buying the dvd version affter 2006 because it saves time and money. if it got stolen or something i would have to buy anohter so thats why i used ea link version but on average its about 2-4 people online everyday playing live.

I have read somewhere that you can play 08 online using a software. Is that true?

you mean like direct connect or something. i have the downloaded version and i can play online but people with the dvd versions must could not play online the whole intire year or something becasue i updated my game and thats when i could nt play until i had to reinstall.
