how to install a playerlock patch?

hi everyone,i just downloaded a playerlock patch of which the file type is *.big .does anyone know how and where to install this patch?

just put it in your sgsm folder

By default, that's C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 08\sgsm.
