Reinstall 07 or Buy 08?

So. I got a new computer, and can't find my old 08 cd, but I can find my 07 cd. I already transfered over my dynasty, which was looking really good so far, so I was hoping that maybe I could run my 08 dynasty on 07.

But here's the real question, I've played 08 but I'm still not sure, should I spend the extra 10 bucks on 08 to be sure my dynasty works, or should I reinstall 07 and hope (unless someone can confirm it works, unlikely though) that my dynasty will run.

I got the game free in the first place (inb4warez, I work at a local game store and we get discounts, ended up getting it free). I wouldn't mind paying 10 bucks for it, plus I already have a Best Buy gift card.

Sorry if I put this in the wrong section, I figured I'd ask the people that play 08 more often if they'd rather go back to 07. Just looking for opinions, thanks guys.

I got bored of 07 and, because I was running it in vista, hated the quit game exit issue. I would say move to 08. I have been playing it straight for the past 2 weeks.

I have both '07 and '08 for PC. I like them both. You could probably have your dynasty work in '08. However, I just got a PS3 with '08 so I'm playing the next-gen version of NBA Live '08 right now.

When I play the PC version, I almost always play '08.

Damn, too late. I would have said stick with 07, too. Especially since updates are still happening and most of the 08 patches are compatible with 07. 07 is just better.

I'd say go back to NBA Live 06 but out of the last two games, I too would vote for 07.

i would defenetly take the 07 too, i played both and 08 was horrible for me.

PS: does this mean(as some of best guys on this site said) as the 07 was choosed as the worst live ever last year, does this now mean that 08 is now the worst of all lives - well it is if you ask me.(I played 2000, 2005, 07, 08)

Not without some tinkering in the databases and even then, it's probably more trouble than it's worth.

dang, see that's the only downside for me, I have a great dynasty going with 08. Tough call.

I had to do some gameplay settings updates but, my 08 dynasty stats have gotten better. had to slide the rebounding stats up and the shooting accuracy stats downs. Moving to 08 has worked out for me as far as re-playability and fun. The players / teams play more organically but it is challenging enough and engaging. just one guys opinion....

But the fact that I already have the dynasty set up and going changes things. If I didn't have the dynasty, I'd be playing 07 right now, and this thread wouldn't have even started. Nice try, though

NBA Live 08 is better than 07 and 06

It has ILT Mod and great features.

All you need to do is download great patches from this site.

Courts - H&L Courts
Gameplay - Fatigue Fix 08 (Maek) 1.4 - K.R.&.A.U 1.0 (Kris) - and for the simengin, i forgot the patcher but the one I am using was perfect!!!
Lighting - 07SuperLit_V4.0_Final (babylei) or LRM Lighting
Rosters - Alby's Realistic 5.5
Others - Crowd Updating / updated tnet.fsh
Cyberface - MG33, I forgot the other one

Right now my NBA 08 was perfect!!! except for the uniform, I am waiting for LRM 1x jersey because his 2x leads to crash.

It also has a lot of unsolveable problems such as being unable to move after the CPU attempts its final free throw. I don't mean any disrespect to what the community has been able to accomplish this year but personally there are too many things that we can't fix or fix well enough for me to enjoy NBA Live 08 PC. Even though I'm still updating the rosters, I gave up on playing it a long time ago.

Me either gave up with live 08. With all GREAT work from patchers it is playable , but it still worse than 05 with updated rosters and new aiact.
I gotta back to 04 too, if ill manage to DL that great "ryff" patch
