Hi! Noob here; got some questions.

Hi! I've been playing NBA Live 08 for a while now - PS2 and just some PC - and I found this forum; I suddenly wanted the overly awesome jerseys, cyberfaces, players, updates, even my own portrait for my CAP...everything. lol. Everything I see's so great.

I was just wondering, though: can this also be done for the PS2 version? I was thinking of backing up my copy (original copy has been used a gajillion times already haha) and would want to add a lot of new stuff to the game as well.

And what programs would I need for all the patching and whatnot? I really know nothing about it. lol.

No, you can't patch the PS2 version unless you have this portable advice that transfers data from consoles.

I'm not even sure if you could even WITH that device.

And I would suggest looking at thew various tutorials posted here at the NLSC forum, or at the NBA Live Wiki.

Aw man, that's sad. I thought it would be the same thing; I mean, the folders and files looked the same. But they just work different. Thanks so much for the reply though! Really appreciate the help.

well the main issue is that we cannot edit the ssh and the ebo files. ssh = textures like CFs, jerseys, and logos while ebos are the 3d parts.

The only things you could update are the aiact, which updates the moves and the animations the players use, or the lighting which updates the graphics.


Just know that we are not allowed to discuss the process of updating these things but the formats for those two files are the same and interchangeable.
