FWIW, I found 08 for $9.99 + $3 and change shipping at Target.com by way of Amazon.
Shipped next day, received in three.

That's a lot to pay for the game.

This makes sense, the game isn't that great, and now its reached its selling peak (and past). Its about time its that cheap.

Huh!?

I was is all the stores- Best Buy etc- and could not find the game new for less than $25.00. Went on line and same story- could not find it new for less than $25. I just happened to stumble onto the $9.99 price while I was doing something else.
Are you saying that $9.99 is a lot to pay for a game that sucks- I might agree w/that; or, are you saying you can purchase the DVDPC version for a couple of bucks?

He's saying $9.99 is overpriced in a sense that the game isn't worth that much, wasn't worth that much, and probably won't be worth that much in the future, unless it gets completely revamped by some mods or something. Who knows.
Point is, you overpayed
wasn't worth getting.

"Overpriced", "isn't worth that much", "overpaid"- these are all very subjective terms. In other words, reasonable people can and will disagree as to their application. I do not believe $9.99 is overpriced; and, fortunately, that is all that matters.

It's just hyperbole to emphasise disappointment in the game; in the normal sense, $9.99 would be a good deal for a game that's been released in the last 12 months. Still, if someone was looking to pick up a cheap copy of Live I'd still recommend 06 or even 07 over 08.
Unfortunately, I ordered a couple of extra copies of NBA Live 08 PC before it was released and we knew about it issues as I had intended to hold a contest. That idea was scrapped once the game was released and most people were generally unsatisfied.
