Problems with Detail Settings

I didn't have this issue before, but I just reinstalled NBA Live 08. I can set the detail settings how I want. But as soon as I start up a game in Dynasty mode, it goes down the the lowest resolution.

The detail settings at the main menu show the right thing, but they don't when you go to the pause menu in game.

Is there an easy way to fix this bug? Maybe a file edit or something to hard code the settings I want?

Any help would be appreciated. I couldn't find a good existing topic on this, but I might have missed it.

auto set with your graphics card maybe?
would do that if you have a notso great graphics card

Ok, I noticed that it seems to work if I create a new Dynasty but make sure I have everything set the way I want it before I create it. I must not have had it set the first time.

Now, the question is, what file holds those settings? Can I copy that file to the old dynasty? I tried the settings.dat but that didn't work.

Yes you can copy the settings. It's called settings.dat. It should have worked. Try copying the one from the settings directory(these are the settings saved at the main menu). What probably happened is you loaded your dynasty with your low settings. Once you went to the main menu, these settings replaced your main menu settings, and when you copied them over, it was just like replacing them with the same thing.

So set the details in the main menu and save them. Go back to windows and copy the settings file to your dynasty, and then load the dynasty.

I just found the same issue. I remember this was an issue last year, too. Good old EA, updating the game and removing simple issues, NOT.
