I'm having difficulty improving players I've drafted. I'm in the 10th year of my dynasty and, no matter how good my trainers are or how high my players were when they're drafted, I can't get a drafted player rated higher than an 82.
It seems ridiculous since there are maybe 20 to 25 (or even more) players are rated 85 or higher in the 2007-2008 season. It seems that when you stretch your dynasty longer than 8 years, the peak talent gets worse. Anyone else experience this?
For example, Kobe is rated 96 or 97 or something in 2007-2008 and he eventually makes it to a 99 rating over the course of the next few years in the dynasty. Why can't there be a player in the drafts that can reach that potential, or even close to that potential, when they reach Kobe's age?
The best player I drafted was rated a 79 in his rookie year. I trained him with 3 trainers for the entire season for the next 5 seasons and he's only increased to an 82. Whereas, I had another player rated a 73 and improved to an 81 over only 3 years (without training during the season!). I guess what I want to know is will any players drafted on ANY team eventually make it to a 90+ rating, or will my dynasty be riddled with mediocrity for the remaining 15 or so years I have left?
Sorry if this has already been brought up.
