Problems With Gameplay!!!

ok here is my problem: i'm playing the game, and sometimes at the end of 2nd quarter sometimes at the end of 3rd quarter or in the middle of the game my pc shuts down and it only does it when i'm playing NBA08, so has this kind of thing ever happened to you or do you know how to solve this problem?

it happened to me several times. have you installed any patches ? some of the patches cause the pc to crash
