Welcome to the official support thread for v1.03 of the NLSC current roster update for NBA Live 08!

A new post-deadline roster update for NBA Live 08 (v1.03) is now available to download here.

Key features of v1.03:
- 2007/2008 Season Rosters accurate as of 22/02/08
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Cyberfaces and portraits for missing players
- East/West All-Stars Updated

Additional Release Notes

1. As always, feedback on ratings is most welcome. There's over 400 players in the update so if I've missed anything, let me know.
   
2. Since a few players are yet to debut with their new teams due to some league red tape, teams like the Bulls, Cavs and Sonics have projected lineup with the recently traded players in the rotation. Future versions will naturally contain updated and accurate rotations once those players make their debut.
   
3. If you're having any problems with certain players crashing the game, it's most likely an issue with the aiact.viv file you're using. Since there's a few custom aiact.viv files out there, I've chosen to base the NLSC roster on the default file rather than tailor it to a specific aiact.viv update.

That's about it for now. As always, constructive feedback is most welcome, I hope you enjoy the post-deadline update. The next update will likely come out in a couple of weeks, once again the update for NBA Live 07 will be out tomorrow.

But I'm kinda having a little trouble right here... I'm in the middle of season in my Dynasty. How can I import these rosters into my Dynasty? I tried to put players.dbf into dynasty-save folder but everytime when I simulate or play game it keeps crashing NBA Live. Help please...

You can't import these rosters into a started Dynasty. You must restart it to have new rosters.

A question in your update Andrew. Will you update the lineup for the slamdunk and three point shootout?

In previous NBA Lives (2005, 06 and 07) lineup for SDC was updating automatically, default lineup were the players with the highest dunk ratings. In 08 it doesn't go this way and I don't know if anyone knows how to do it.

Andrew, I've noticed that some players' shoes have 2-coloured stripes (black and another lighter colour) instead of actual shoe textures. Maybe there's a possibility that a shoe patch must be installed along with your roster, but you had yet to mention it. If a shoe patch is required, do you know which patch to install?

i hav 08 for vista....nd for sum reason the latest roster
aint working.....like i checked dallas, and harris is still pg

I just want to ask.. I haven't tried the update yet but does this includes the roster update for memphis, detroit and nj?

vmyap, I'm pretty sure they were included in the roster which is accurate as of 22/02/08 and this is the same date that Murray and Magloire was released. I'm not sure about Vinicius though, but if these updates are not included, you can just waived them manually.

As Spree#8 said, unfortunately we can't do that in NBA Live 08. It used to be a matter of editing the Dunking ratings and the default four participants would change accordingly but that no longer works. I've never been able to change the default three point shootout contestants.

I've fixed Conroy's date of birth ready for the next version and Andersen has been included in the last update, so I'm not sure what else you want me to do there.

Unfortunately, you can't import them to a Dynasty in progress. Sorry.

My roster doesn't require any shoe patches to be installed. I know a couple of the other updates do but I prefer not to do it that way as it just leads to more questions about missing art when the update requires a patch that isn't included in the same download.

After you run install.exe, you will need to load the rosters from within the game. Note that it will not affect a Dynasty game in progress.

The only transactions I missed were Linton Johnson signing with the Suns and Vinicius being cut (though that happened a day after the release). I only read about those on RealGM as my regular sources unfortunately hadn't been updated at the time of release.

I can't wait for the next release. I just don't understand why nets didn't include Magloire in the trade to Dallas... when Nets released him Dallas signed him up..

Hi Andrew. Is your roster compatible with Alby's patches (including Kris gameplay, etc) and sliders ?
I mean, compatible to have a realistic game.

I can't guarantee it will be 100% compatible with all gameplay fixes, since the dunk packages in my update are based on the default aiact.viv file.
