Substitution for Xbox 360/PS3

Thu Feb 14, 2008 3:59 pm

Hey guys,

So on Xbox 360, playing 10 minute quarters, I've found that if I play the full game, the opposing team rarely subs in their players. On suns, someone like Leandro Barbosa might play about 6-7 minutes. I've played with both auto-subs on/off, but it doesn't seem to really matter. Does auto-subs make a difference? I only prefer it of, because I don't like how the cpu will make weird subs for MY team, or override my own decisions. Does auto-sub have to be on for the CPU to sub out its own players besides for foul trouble? Also its annoying that if I try to sub someone in, and have auto-subs on, if I called timeout to get them in the game, then since a timeout will rest everyone to full fatigue, then the CPU will override my decision and play the starters again..

Anyone know what to do? I was thinking aobut lowering the stamina rating for all players on every team by like 20 or so..

Well, yeah that's how auto subs work. that's why I take them off and do it myself. 2k's substitution is worse. . .sometimes they sub after every whistle when your playing the computer. it does get annoying. But in Live they have a set rotation for the computer. The they have a set 8 man rotation for the computer. You have to tweak up the settings to how you liked them. I turn the sub things almost all the way up. i played 3 games last night, and the game was good

well I mean, will the computer team still sub out its own players if auto-subs is off? Like does auto subs apply to both teams are just the controlled team?

It's a user-only setting so you can disable it safely.
