Direct Ip to Ip! (update)

I read in the manual that i had to open some ports. What if im behind a router and i keep pgetting a 192.168.0.100 for an ip. Which is obvious an ip for my pc on my router. How can i get the game to recognize my ip of my isp so my 1 nba live friend and i can play a casual game together. I did search with no luck. (That wiki could have came in handy right now!)

I found a tutorial using hamachi but is there a way to tell live 08 which connection to use? i have more than one. I need it to point to the hamachi one.

This is the solution that worked for me. I had an internet connection that "floated" the IP which means that the IP address changes every time you turn on your machine. Some ISP's assign everyone a fixed address.

You can create a manual connection to your dsl or cable modem.

Go to Settings >
Network Connections >
New Connection Wizard >
Next >
Connect to Internet >
Set up Manually >
Connect to an ISP that requires user name and pwd >
Type in any description >
type in user name/pwd >

The icon should be created in Network Connections. Click on the icon and connect. When connected, go to:

www.whatismyip.com

This should tell you what your real IP address is and not that of your router.

I know my ip address. nba live 08 doesnt though. WHen a create a game it says my ip is 192.168.0.100 ! So i cant play a game?

Did you try the solution I typed? Did it work?

I only have gotten hamachi to work if i disable my internet connection and that wont work for obvious reasons. Is there a way to change the priority of which adapters are checked?
