Help with DB Commander

Whenever i edit anything in DB Commander and save it, and load it then i play the game. My game crashes after the opponent's team calls a timeout, or after a quarter, or in the middle of the game. So the thing my game crashes after i edit any file with DB Commander. I tried to re-install the game few times but i get the same result: My game crashes after i edit any files with DB Commander. Is anyone else having this problem? Do i need to install any kind of patch for this? Please just help me out, and it will help others too who are having the same problem. Please help me.

Are you sure the game crashes after editing files and not before? Crashing after a timeout is called or during the end of the period is a sign that you have the pirated version. The only way to stop the crash is to use the original copy and play with the DVD in the drive. If there was an error in your dbf file that would cause a crash, you probably couldn't even get into the game.

First of all, sorry for creating this thread in multiple sections but i don't get reply so i have to do it, but i won't do it again. Second, i bought the game, its not pirated. Third, yes i am sure that the game crashes after editing files and not before. Do i have to install any patch or anything to edit files in DB Commander and you can play the entire game without crashing? Can you please help me?

Usually, players.dbf and teamgear.dbf
One more thing, I downloaded and installed lots of jersey patches. But I still can't play the game with any alternate jerseys. For example, NJ Nets RED Jerseys and Washington Wizards GOLD Jerseys.

What are you editing in the players.dbf, specifically?

I don't know why you can't play the game with alternate jerseys. Do they show up in the team select screen? If they don't then there is something wrong in the teamgear file like having no entry for those alternate jerseys.

Well specifically, i edit the dunk package, sometimes hotspots and go to moves, and dynasty in the players.dbf
For the jerseys, like when you go to select team jerseys, nothing shows up for the "missing" alternate jerseys.

You mean it shows that there is no jersey preview, or is there no jersey named "alternate" when you scroll through the jerseys?

I'm not sure about the go to moves since I have never tried editing them. It's possible that you put in some values the game does not like, but I don't know.

Both, there is no jersey preview AND there is no jersey named "alternate" when i scroll throught the jerseys.
You could be right about the go to moves but what about dunk package? Don't the game allow the dunk packages? Maybe there's possibility that the game don't allow the go to moves. If you can't figure out the solution, then i'll just play it without alternate jerseys and without editing files with DBC. But why wouldn't EA put the new alternate jerseys when they gotta a picture Gilbert Arenas wearing the new alternate jerseys? They at least should have put the cheat codes for it.
