Oh man this is my kind of question, the best way to train like someone elese here told me is to train one player for 4 weeks in offense, defense, and athletics. Try to have an a in all three abilities, and i've found that when i did this the players' overall would change almost every time. Sometimes you have to train the players 2 or 3 times with bad assistants. My team, i'm did a fantasy draft just tonight with the toronto raptors, my starting five are these players.
Andrew bogut-77-haven't trained him yet
Danny granger-79
Adam morrison-75
Brandon roy-75
Reymond felton-77-I trained him twice
----------
Bench players
----------
Gerald green-74
Martell webster-71
Rodney corney-66
Kendrick perkins-66
Daniel gibson-63
Cedrick simmons-62
Andrew bynum-62
----------------------
As you can see some of the starting five have improved a bit, because i trained them for 4 weeks and i maxed out all three abilities. I'm building a team, this team is not bad either so far they're 26-30 and this is all simulation, i didn't play one game or intervene. Those are just a few players in this game with excellent potential, but the rookies i stay away from because most of them decline after a year. One dynasty i have i trained daniel gibson and he's now 72 or 73 and bynum is at least 70 and cedrick simmons is around 68-70 something. These players and several others can improve 3 points a season.
