How to add a player

like the topic says i want to know how i can import a player via db commander :?:

what file does i have to open?

You'll need to make sure they have an entry in both players.dbf and appearance.dbf.

hey guys, i tried out but now the game crashes when i open my added player's profile ingame

i changed the birthtown.dbf (changed true to false, id 900 to 754, changed bstadeid to 119 and name to herten)
then i changed players.dbf and appearance.dbf
i added my player to celtics
maybe i can send anybody here my datas and he checks them
pls post here and u get a pm with the datas :arrow:

would be great!

It means there's an error with the appearance.dbf file. Which program did you use to edit the database?

db commander

i unfortunately overwrote the guy with the higehest id while i changed the id to one point higher(the id of the added player)
but this problem should only come ingame when i open the profile of this guy, not?!
because all other players work - out of the added player and the one with the highest id

edit: ok i imported him - so there is the original patch of nlsc
now a question: when i import my player to a team(celtics in that case), does i have to delete another player of the team?
...because when i put roster position 14 on my player, save and play then look again, there is any number in the table :roll:

Adding new players is easier if you create a new player in-game first. Enter his bio info and ratings. Create his face if you aren't creating a cyberface. This player will be a free agent. In your case release the Celtic player you don't want and sign your new player. Save your roster. Edit the dbf files if needed. If you have a cyberface for your new player assign a PLAYERPKG, set ISCREATED to false in players.dbf . Set FACEID to -1 in appearence.dbf.

Copying players can cause database problems. Always make a backup of your roster before any editing.

so i edited a lot and everything works fine out of the point that my player has black legs and arms, i think the face maybe would be black to if i had not imported a cyberface

any help? where can i change?

Edit appearence.dbf. Modify the COLOR value. Skin colors are 0 to 4 with 4 being the darkest.

i just do friendly matches and the color value is 1
now i have the next problem because at clevland there is no lebron in starting five and no duncan at spurs' sf

such a shit

now i will include all backups and maybe change only the name and the skills of one player :roll:
