Welcome to the official support thread for the first NLSC roster update for NBA Live 08!

The initial version (v1.00) of the current roster update for NBA Live 08 is now available to download here.

Key features of v1.00:
- Initial Release
- 2007/2008 Season Rosters accurate as of 09/12/07
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Cyberfaces and portraits for missing players
- Coaches updated complete with faces
- Player salaries and contracts updated
- Missing Legends added complete with faces
- Rookie/Sophomore teams updated with potential participants
- Team USA updated with the 2007 lineup
- Dream Team I & Dream Team III added

Release Notes

• As always, the ratings are a work in progress. I've gone through and updated the ratings for all active NBA players and the free agents, as well as their counterparts on the various All-Star and FIBA teams. While I've done my best to be thorough with this first update, there is always room for improvement. If you have any constructive feedback about player ratings, please let me know. Note that as always, I place importance on individual ratings since the overall ratings tend to work themselves out.
  
• On a similar note, I've done my best to make sure positions are up to date based on the current rotations and that all jersey numbers have been fixed. I've gone over them a couple of times but as there's over 500 players in the roster there might be a couple I've missed. Any feedback in this record is as always most welcome.
  
• I haven't updated the ratings for a bulk of the international players yet as I haven't seen many of them play. Feel free to send me scouting reports and suggestions for international players as well.
  
• This patch does not resolve the simulated stats issues; a few people in the community have tried editing the sim engine files with varying degrees of success. The simulated stats are just one of the items on the bug list we've sent to EA Sports.
  
• I'll be looking to correct further details such as arena names, teamgear colours and so forth in future versions, which should come out a little quicker now that this initial update is completed and available for me to work from.

That's about it. I hope you enjoy the first NLSC update for NBA Live 08, I've tried to be as thorough as possible but as always I'll be looking to improve the patch with each subsequent release.

i can't seem to download the file in filefront..

One thing though: On the Celtics, Pollard is #66 according to Celtics.com (and my scratchy memory). He is #31 in your rosters.

Looking great Andrew! I have some suggestions to improve on your rosters. First, can you please change the names of several arenas:
Boston Celtics - TD Banknorth Garden
New Jersey Nets - Izod Center
Indiana Pacers - Conseco Fieldhouse
Houston Rockets - Toyota Center

Also, I like you having the additions of the USA national teams of the past. So maybe you can add even more teams to your roster. I'd like to see the following teams (and I gave this suggestion for Jimmy's roster as well). These teams were taken from last season's awards' All-Teams and are coached by the "Coach of the Year" canidates:

All-Rookie Team (coached by Avery Johnson):

Just remember that the FIRST TEAMS will be starters (sorted by common sense), the SECOND TEAMS will be bench players 6-10 (sorted in order of voting points), and for the case of the All-NBA team, its THIRD TEAM will be bench players 11-12 and the IRs (again sorted in order of voting points). And at this season's end, players and coaches in these teams will change to reflect on this season's award selection for All-Teams and Coach of the Year respectively.

Looks great! I'm finally playing Live 08.

However, just few incorrect details:

Jersey number

Crittenton is #1
Ariza is #3

Cook is #34

Is it possible to give different names to the 3 USA teams? There's no way to differentiate between them when choosing teams, and they all happen to be rated 96 overall too.

if it can, how to do so?
i loaded the roster, but then the roster in online game still remain as the default nba2008 roster

hi, I'm from germany and i think I can give you some realistic ratings for the german players. gonna post them soon. thanks for your update so far.

every time i try to download the roster i get there in filefront the following massage:

I am thinking I am installing this wrong, because I am not noticing any updates.

I have a ripped version of NBA Live 08. I set the game up and it created an NBA Live 08 folder on my desktop. When I play the game I do get an NBA Live 08 folder in My Documents... but when I install the roster update to that nothing appears to happen.

You need to load the rosters from within the game before they'll take any effect. Please note that they will not affect a Dynasty game in progress.
