The aim.
To produce the mega project, dedicated to current and past Olympics. Therefore, several classic and 12 current Beijing 2008 Olympic teams included into the project.
The setting.
The project is supposed to consist of those parts:
[1] Main part. The core part of the whole project. It will consist of rosters and miscellaneous stuff, like molten ball, referee uniforms, etc.
[2] Front end. The menus, menu videos from past olympics, logos, front end screens, scoreboard and other miscellaneous stuff, like roadtrip map. The complete turnaround switching from EA SPORTS/NBA LIVE 08 to FIBA/BEIJING 08.
[3] Jerseys. This part contains of home/away jerseys for the classic teams and home/away+several retro jerseys for current teams. In addition to that, all the jerseys will have their portraits.The number of the jerseys included in the project largely depends of the availability of resources.
[4] Courts. Several classic courts are expected to be included, i.e. 1988 Seoul, 1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens + current 2008 Beijing court. All of the courts will have as realistic as possible stadiums.
[5] Faces. A lot of them are already created by EA Sports, so the concentration on the faces would lie on the missing ones. Starters are priority. The purpose is also to accompany the faces with the portraits.
The teams.
The list of the classic teams has the best 4 teams of each Olympics starting from 1988:
1988: USSR (1st); Yugoslavia (2nd); USA (3rd); Australia (4th);
1992: USA (1st); Croatia (2nd); Lithuania (3rd); Unified Team (4th);
1996: USA (1st); Yugoslavia (2nd); Lithuania (3rd); Australia (4th);
2000: USA (1st); France (2nd); Lithuania (3rd); Australia (4th);
2004: Argentina (1st); Italy (2nd); USA (3rd); Lithuania (4th);
Current 12 teams, to my mind, should be:
Angola, Argentina, Australia, China, Germany*, Greece*, Iran, Lithuania, Russia, Slovenia*, Spain and USA.
* Haven't qualified for the Olympics yet, but had the better in matches with their closest opponents to qualify, i.e. Brazil, Croatia, Puerto Rico.
The producer.
Everything is expected to be produced by only one person, i.e. me, UltraNIX, with a helping hand of the various people, starting from pdub, jaosming, andreas dahl.
The release date.
The project would be only released if/when it's finished. I will update you with the progress, but will ignore all inquiries regarding the release date. If I knew that, I would be god.
Your input. (the list would be updated in occurrence of necessity).
At the moment i'm searching people, who:
[1] are able to find pictures of various retro jerseys, players (especially portraits).
[2] know the ea sports movie video (.vp6) format better than me and are able to fix the crashing menu videos
[3] have the good quality pictures of current teams' players for portraits and faces, as well as the jerseys.
[4] could re-design the site (from the template) and run it.
[5] advisers for various teams except for Lithuania and USA in order to get as realistic rating as possible.

i will just do the courts first and then move on to the jerseys. i have 1/3 of all the jerseys done in photoshop. they only need to be imported
