Who here has stopped playing Live 08?

I've had Live 08 since it first came out here in Canada, i played it for 4-5days then i stopped because it got repetitive and boring. All the CPU teams play alike and it's not fun at all. I've been playing Madden and other games non-stop and i feel that i've been ripped off because of this year's NBA LIVE.

Who here has stopped playing Live 08? Or have u been playing LIVE 08 all the time, ever since you got the game? I know i haven't at all

i havent stopped playing it, but i try to play at least one match in my dynasty a day.

I play it as often as i can. only online though. I'm ranked like 260.

I still play with 08 sometimes but I'd rather play with 06 with updated rosters.
Among the many reasons why I still play with 06 are the better gameplay and the fact that I have a huge collection of jerseys which I'm not willing to convert to 08.

Actually I'm playing 90% with 06 and 10% with 08

I played it for 2 days and havent touched it ever since. Its just a terrible game.
I have to start playing it though because Im in a Nba Live League

Honestly, it is just like last year and basically every other PC Live. I will never get sick of it just because I customize it to play however i want it to play, and also the dynasty issues and stuff doesnt bother me since Im an arcadey, play now, type of player. If only you guys knew of the crap I made that I didn't release, lol. i dunno, I played it a lot when i first got it, and I have been playing other games, but I still play it once every day or so.

As for the 360 version, I played it a lot when i first got it, then played online a lot. Then got assassin's creed, and then got Rock Band. I can't really say Ill play the offline version much more, but when that 5v5 updated gets released (finally) I will definitely start playing it again.

I would be playing Live 08 if the AI gameplay was much better with more passing involved but this is not the case, I've tried the tutorial that PDUB has posted, referring to the AIACT tutorial, but honestly i haven't seen any changes after i did so. Any ideas on how to make the cpu make more passes?

I got bored with it (PS3 Version) about a week after the season started. I sold it for $40.

I don't think 2k8 nor live 08 have a long lasting appeal this year, live 08 was even less appealing because they never updated the roster, and after playing dynasty extensively on live 07 pc, it lost appeal doing the same thing in live 08, especially when each game plays exactly the same, no variety.

I borrowed the PC version from a friend, and played through half a quarter before I uninstalled it. It just wasn't much fun for me, even compared to NBA 2K7 on the old Xbox.

I played the 360 demo version at another friend's house. We didn't play for very long before we got bored. The game is too simple for the both of us. We stopped playing Live and played 2K.

I was definitely encouraged by the screenshots and all the pre-release hype here I'd still say that Live's presentation is better than 2K's by far, but the gameplay isn't very fun for me.

stopped playin it the day i got it and immediately went back to 05 with current rosters. the ai is horrible and im not very good at modding live so i probably will never play it again until someone fixes the ai.

For now, I keep updating it pretty much every day but I still didn't get to play an entire game, I was just too depressed after one quarter...
As soon as someone finds a way to dramatically improve the gameplay like it was done last year (and hopefully we'll get a patch from EA too), then I guess I'll play it.

i stopped playing it after 2 weeks of playing. this year's live is a pure crap. i reinstalled live 07 and i'm sticking with it for now.

I traded it in this weekend for 2k8

Even though at first i thought it was the best ea had produced it took only 16 games in my dynasty to find out that nothing had changed at all.

The sim engine just got to much for me plus the fact that i play 12q 82 game season which gets boring as hell when you only have 2 jerseys to choose from and couldnt edit players gear.

I stopped to play regularly vs CPU... But when I have friends who can play with me, it was a pleasure

I play some, esp after I read a "x team is crap" article, Iget tempted to turn them around in Dynasty mode. I love the gameplay with fg sliders tweaks, and since it's the first time I tried to mod, everythings looks better than last year (downloading rosters? Editing primacy and Destiny? COOL!!!). Plus, in 2min quarters, the PG to superstar then shot is a great improvement. And you don't win MVP by default! Only problem, I can drive to the hoop at will. With Kirk Hinrich, no less!

I played it a few days and then stoped..
I wait and hope maybe jimmy or someone else will release a gamefix like last year.. the gamefixes that jimmy relesed make the game alot better than what it was in the start.

What a huge disappointment. I just purchased it yesterday and after 2 hours I can't take it. It's like a "Live 07 expansion pack"! And I could name several things I loved with this game that EA dealt with their classic give-and-take.

What a waste of $50 bucks.

not going to play it until a patch comes out or a new ai is created...

i created a 5"3 player, had his position start at centre, and played one game and had him dunk over yao ming. then i uninstall the game and went back to live 05.

career stats for live 05: uncountable and still going strong.
career stats for live 08: 1 game and retired.

I am so disappointed in Live 08's Dynasty Mode on PC. The sim engine is atrocious. I tried to grin and bear it, but when Chris Bosh had 3 times as many 3's as Jason Kapono after 15 games, I gave up. I'm not asking for perfection but I would appreciate some level of realism. Until there's a patch that stops the Dynasty sims from having Al Harrington go 14-16 from 3-pt range, the game will sit.

I have not played it oftenat all since I bought the pc version on 11/1. I am very disappointed that EA seems to not care aboout PC gamers at all with bad support. This is the 4th time that I have purchased a pc copy of Live, but I have never had to wait this long to find a current roster to start playing a season. Did not have to wait nearly as long for a current roster for Madden PC versions.

I'm not playing it anymore. Crysis, COD4 and GOW occupy my time now. So long live 08 you suck!

I've officially stopped playing it since yesterday. Couldn't stand the 1 pass to centre/power forward and shoot AI. And when I got back on defense quickly to prevent it, I had Tony Parker score 30pts and get 20 assist. Tim Duncan played 25% of the game because the CPU decided to sub him 2 minutes into the game.

I dont mind getting the same graphics as last year but i would have thought that the gameplay would have improved. In the back of my mind i still believe all that motion capture that EA showed on their website is B/S, none of it was used in this PC version because the animations are still the same as it was in 2005/2006.

The game is starting to get annoying. I'm just gonna wait for an official patch from EA and give it try then.

Anyway.... I might end up buying the PS3 and trying 2k8 in the new year.

I have a couple of friends who work at EB Games here in Melbourne, AUS and they agree with me that the game is unplayable out of the box. Most of the stores rarely stock NBA Live 08 anymore, they only have Madden and Fifa.
