Need help making the FT

Postby berdush on Tue Nov 06, 2007 5:15 pm

Hi to all...

I searched the forum but could't find an answer. Need some suggestion about making a free throw. I tried everything but can't find the right usage of up and down keys. (i use keyboard by the way) Also tried to reduce Free Throw Difficulty setting but it didn't worked for me either.

I'm a quality user of old moving balls (shadow) method and didn't played 07 so much, so I guess i miss something about it. Hope someone can help.

It's times like this we really need a facility to practice free throws before stepping into the game as with the 2K series. Basically, you need to push up when the ball reaches the player's forehead to complete a good release. Take note of the tips that come up about releasing too early or too late and you'll eventually get the hang of the timing; without an in-depth practice feature, it's simply a matter of hands-on experience.

Also note that there's a wider margin of error when you're on easier difficulty levels and when you're using a better free throw shooter. Players like Shaq on the other hand have a very small margin for error forcing you to be very precise, especially on the harder difficulty levels.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or if it's just mapped to the left analog this year, but the left analog seems to work fine.

Hey Andrew. If you don't mind me asking. What kind of controller do you use? Thanks.

just press the shoot button.. thats how i shoot my freethrows. im using a control pad without an analog stick for the pc. it even works with the ps2 and ps3 version of the nba live 08. even in the nba live 07 for the ps2, i just press circle to shoot freethrows. but if your using the keyboard, im not sure if it works the same for shooting free throws. but try it, it might work.

A Logitech dual analog gamepad. I used to use a Thrustmaster Firestorm dual analog pad but the right stick developed a fault through wear and tear so I had to replace it.
