Player Lock is Back in NBA Live 08

Thanks to Pdub and his find on NBA Live 07 screens for roster reorder and player salaries in the trade screen, and to his patient answers to my many questions, I located the screen file in NBA Live 07 that makes selecting player lock possible.

Place this file in the SGSM directory of the NBA Live 08 directory.

Note, like in '07, when locked you have to call for the inbounds pass.

WARNING, rapidshare does not like the tilde key "~" and replaces it with an underscore "_". To get this file to work, you must rename it after downloading it, replacing the underscore with a tilde so the filename should look like-

misc~pcctrl.big

and not

misc_pcctrl.big

Click on the controller at the control select screen once you have a side selected. There will be an option for player lock that you can turn to on.

As the last poster said, after selecting the controller click on it. There will be an option for player lock.

This is a menu item, the code was already in the game. Sometimes lock is lost, or it doesn't work to start the game. In that case go back into controller selection, click on the controller, move through a few positions then back to the one you want, press ok. It sometimes is necessary to have control of the desired lock player before selecting the lock.

Ok, I downloaded the misc_pcctrl.big and placed it in the SGSM folder. It did not give me the player lock option, even after selecting the team side and clicking the controller. I have the downloaded NBA Live 08, not illegal, but the bought and paid for downloaded version. What did I do wrong, I really want the player lock option. HELP!

what is the player lock option?

It's where you can lock onto only one player on the team and just play as that player while the cpu is the other 4 players on your team.

i can put the playerlock08.zip on sgsm directory. why?

You don't put the .zip file in the sgsm folder. You need to open the file with Winzip and place the file inside the .zip archive in the sgsm folder.

I just did the download of the playerlock08.zip, and when I try to put the folder inside sgsm directoy gives a noise saying that not put the folder inside the directory sgsm. why did this happen? please i need help
