Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

Hi all,
I am from the UK but enjoy the US sports and have therefore purchased NBA Live 08 after seeing some videos and screenies which i fell in love with.
I am very new to basketball but have a general understanding of the Sport. I do have a pathetic question though which i am sure you'll laugh at.
What is 'Box-out'? Whenever i press B button on the xbox (iirc) which is supposed to be box out when not in possession my player holds his bollox. What use is this?
Thanks in advance and i apologise now for any further pathetic questions i'm sure to ask in the next few weeks.
Oh 1 more question, what team should i play with? keep in mind that i struggle on Rookie level i need team that is quality across the park and will generally make playing easier.

Boxing out is just letting you prevent an opposing player from rebounding the ball.
I would recommend the Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets, or Boston Celtics. Each have at least 3 great players in their starting lineups.

well boxing out consists of keeping your opponent behind you to rebound the ball but pressing B on xbox on defense probably isn't "box out". it's the "take charge" button where your player stand there and covers his nuts. the use of that is if your opponent is running down the court and you hold that button and if they run over you, they will be called for an offenseive foul and the ball will be awarded to you.
