passing problem

Postby kingjames23 on Sat Oct 20, 2007 5:02 pm

has anyone else noticed this?
i pass the ball to a guy and he auto passes to someone else, sometimes resulting in an over and back violation or shot clock violation. what am i doing wrong here? why is the player i just passed the ball to giving up the rock without me pushing the pass button?

do you press the pass button multiple times? they have a feature called "touch passes" where when you press the pass button twice, the player you pass to will pass to someone else
there's so much to do today that i have to set apart more time to pray

This happened in Live '07 too. It isn't the controller.

I never had a problem with passes like that last year but there was a bug in NBA Live 07 that seemed to trigger Player Lock when throwing long passes using direct pass. If you didn't happen to notice it had happened, it was easy to press the pass button again (intending to pass the ball to someone else in the frontcourt) and ending up having the ball passed back over halfcourt for the backcourt violation.

i dont think pressing long pass resulting in player lock is a bug...it can be quite usefull...and there is an animation to it...when your locked player without the ball comes close to ball handler he hands the ball to your locked player. and this year locking a player without the ball , heading towards basket n pressing alley oop works...last year all alley oops trigerred that way never went in

There is new One Touch Pass option in In-Game Settings. Just turn it off.

Its not that... its an old nba live 07 bug to my knowledge.. ive had it too.

What happens is.. you drive to the basket suddenly change movement and pass the ball to an open 3 point shooter wide open, a defender rushes the Shooter and LIVE thinks that the player is about to go out of bounds so it auto passes the ball, often resulting in backcourt/stolen ball.

This all happens in a matter of a second.. Hope it sheds some light on the bug.
