The 2008 Dynasty mode

Postby Alainlepoulpe on Wed Oct 10, 2007 7:55 am

Hello everybody!
I'am french and I play on my PC (for patchs!) so I don't know yet the new NBA live.
With patchs the 2007 gameplay is good for me...
But I always dream of a perfect dynasty mode, with intelligent trades (exemples: cash versus a round pick or triple teams trades...), intelligent signs (a guy ,like Webber, G.Hill or Mutombo, would like to sign with your team for minimum if you could play tittle) and realistics stats (best "assisters" of the league with 9 or ten assists, 1 or 2 guys with 30 points...).
So... Could somebody says me the good and bad points of this new "dynasty mode? Thank you very much!
" I am the best in the world and I can't play basketball with normals people. I will play golf, like michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. I could be alone in this sport, with me, my and myself."

Well for one thing it sure is harder to trade, and they changed the way you reorder your rosters. You have to go to your inactive list to change the starting lineups. There is more scoring as well, such as for rookies as well as superstars. The defense and rebounds are way down. It is more common for big men like chris bosh to shoot 5-7 3 pointers a game, you see more guys scoring 430, 40 50 and even guys like kobe bryant scoring 60 points. I'm doing a lakers dynasty and just today in simulation kobe scored 62. Mike bibby can pop in over 40 points, chris bosh can get 40 sometimes.

They've really messed it up IMO.

I made a thread askng for solutions to the stats issue, but until the PC version comes out, it doesn't appear as though there is any remedy to t. I don't think I'll pay for the PC version to go along with the PS2 version that I have, though, despite my desire for a decent dynasty mode andto tinker with the rosters on my PC.

There isn't much to talk about for the PS2 version as Dynasty is pretty much the same as it was last year. The Xbox 360 version has gotten rid of the PDA though so you can hammer out deals in realtime with the CPU presenting counteroffers and offering multiplayer trades from time to time instead of just 1-for-1 deals. They've also added a negotiation mini-game for free agent signings.

I will say one thing though I didn't see point guards shooting a whole lot unless it was a team that had a great point guard like Kidd, Nash, Paul or Bibby. I like that the star or stars took the higher percentages of the shots. I was frustrated that they didn't too multiplayer dynasty.

I've noticed that too. It seems as though the scoring averages a bit too high, but it should be easier to bring them down than trying to raise them in NBA Live 06 and NBA Live 07.
