trading FIBA players to NBA teams

this is for the ps2 version of live 08.
belinelli and jianlian are in their fiba teams but not on their nba teams. can someone please tell me how i can transfer or get them to their respective teams? thanks!

It's not possible. I'd also like to move those two players onto their NBA clubs, as well as Louis Scola and Juan Carlos Navarro, but there's no way to edit the FIBA rosters at all.

I think the only way you can have those foreign players to play in their respective NBA teams is to copy take note of their ratings, then use these rating to create a new player and put them on the FA list. Then have the respective nba teams sign them up from the free agent pool.

I don't have the PS2 version.
But I'd suggest this: try to put the FIBA players in FA pool, then put in the NBA Team you want.
Say me if it goes well or not.

I think that's what most people have first tried to do, but it doesn't work because you're not able to add/remove players from the national teams.

Is it possible that we have to finish something to unlock this option?

it's pretty stupid of EA to have international teams, but not have players available to be moved to NBA rosters....that's the whole reason people wanted them

the only way is by dling the ea rosters. for ps3 they did one to put Yi on the Bucks, but no Scola or JC Navarro.

Wasn't it in the initial annoucements of FIBA that the International players could be put on the teams and be used in Dynasty mode or something?

It certainly was mentioned.

Probably not, though hopefully there's some codes to unlock rookies. That was the case with NBA Live 2004 though it hasn't been done since.
