New Wii Video

Just some gameplay, the beginning with all that camera turning made me sick.

Impressions:
Hate that camera
I like seeing auto replays back
transition = seizures... again
new ESPN feature, dornas!
Looks like 2005 style rims (god I've been playing this series too much)
Finally some "sweat" on the players by EA (bs)
the crowd looks good
announcing is still spot on
player speech is back
512 jerseys
Slick Scoreboard
Kept the "guarding" animations when the PG dribbles up the court which is bueno


I dunno, it looks like a mix between 07 and 2005 which i am actually happy to see....but cmon we should have had this last year.

And for a side note, it is my belief that the PC version is delayed because EA is porting this Wii version to the PC, and not the PS2 version.
Q. Whats the difference?
A. PS2 will probably have 256 jerseys again, Wii will probably have 512.


Anyway, to the point, look at this as if it were the PC version.

looks not bad for the wii-gamers. i might be getting this one, but idk if for the wii or the pc, since you told me about the extra stuff you could use from wii controls on the pc

Wow, I literally see no changes other than the NBA Live 2005 rim/net. It doesn't help when the damn game that they didn't try to change was utter trash in the first place. This ain't even NBA Live 07.2 anymore, it's a full blown $40 rim patch.

it looked like 07 and 1005......2005 was the best game ever to me, 07 was trash and i didn't like it, cause it wasn;t as smoothas 05 and 06 when players handled the ball.

i also think that this is the verion we are gonna see for the pc

I'm undecided on those jerseys. They've added more contrast to them, but they look dirty or something. I don't understand why they didn't add the normal-mapped jersey shading to the Wii like it was on the xbox.

If it means Go To Moves, Hot Spots and the Dynasty Mode features then it would be good news for the PC version.

actually just checked, 06 has the same as 05, just with a larger 3D crowd.

and actually I was wondering about the whole 3D crowd thing. If i am not mistaken, EA has gone back to the 2005 days where there is only 1 or 2 rows of 3D crowd, where in 06/07 we got a good 10 rows. 06 did run at 60fps so that reason in BS, i dunno, im just confused.

Although I expected this, it's still somewhat of a disappointment after seeing all the smooth next-gen animations.

Tyrus Thomas is white in the dunk contest video.

Hopefully we see some PS2 videos soon, because the Wii video is just a childish run and gun video that looked pretty damn unrealistic.

I agree with whoever said it looked like 07 + 05, but how it plays is a different story.

Also, it looks like it was in family play mode on the videos, which would explain why every shot was going in with ease. The regular style of play will hopefully be a little more realistic. From what I've seen, the shooting mechanics look better on the Wii version than on the PS3 or XBox 360 versions.

Anyone who bases their opinion of a game on a few 1-minute videos isn't really thinking intelligently in the first place. It's so funny how many negative people hang out around this place. Actually, it's pretty sad when I think about it.
