usually that's how it works. The way it's SUPPOSED to work is the next year game has improvements over the previous year's game.

if such progression existed then Live 07 would have been voted as best and not 05.....however, i do think 08 will be the best Live yet.

Well, we're talking about the PC version. Which is likely to be NBA Live 07.2.

Most of the new features look like being Xbox 360/PS3 exclusive so the PC version will likely be very similar to last year. Assuming it doesn't have the same bugs though and some minor improvements are made then it would probably qualify as being better than last year.

That would be great in comparison, Live 2005 is the pinnacle of the series.

Seemed like the only thing wrong with 2005 was you got blocked from behind alot. Other than that it was good but 2000 for its time is arguably better. 06 was ok. 07 of course had the annoying bugs and I didn't like how you could only do 82 games in the franchise mode.

I think nostalga benefits 2000 too much, 2005 is the best Live to date. The UI is all Live 2000 has going for it, and even Live 2001 tops that.

I think they'll add go-to moves and hotspots to pc this year. They are adding them to the wii-version, which is basically the same thing, so I'd imagine they'll add them to ps2 and pc as well.

I'd agree with that. I remember a fair amount of fan griping and so-so reviews when it was released. Looking back at Gamespot's review, summing up NBA Live 2000 as "just as good as Live 99, but at best it's an iterative update to the classic PC sports series" is certainly less of an endorsement than a lot of people give the game today.

if 2001 wasn't such a disappointment then 2000 wouldnt get the user reviews it does.
