Dynasty Mode

This is a topic to discuss the dynasty mode. There were a lack of Dynasty Mode topics in the forum so I wanted to start a topic/discussion. You can post your hopes and stuff like that for the dynasty mode of this years upcoming game here. I'll start off by asking a question for Andrew. When can you talk about this years Dynasty Mode? I know that i have asked you that question before, but the Dynasty Mode in NBA Live is the greatest franchise mode in sports games, so i'm very excited to hear about it. I know some others are to.

I hope that there will be more ESPN integration. In last years PS2 version there was only like 4 ESPN integrated stuff. They also need to fix the rookie scouting. They need to get rid of those small Shooting Guards at 6'2 and Power Forwards at 6'8. And scouting is so boring. It doesn't even matter to scout a player and the information you get is worthless

The thing they did with the chemistry within the team should be improved, because in Live 07 it really didn't make much of a difference if your team did not have good chemistry, atleast on PS2.

I expect dynasty to be very good this year, it was pretty good last year, probably better than 2k's association, I would like it if they added 3-way trades, mini games, more in-deep staffing, like head coach (somebody said it was stupid because you act as the coach, but I disagree, you act as a GM in the dynasty, and in every game you act as a coach, but still a head coach affects it).

Also, they need to fix the dumb trades :-p

i guess my question is, how will the pc version of dynasty differ from the ps3/xbox360 version of it? i know you cant answer yet but when you can i am eager to hear the real differences.

I'm certainly hoping they'll use as much as possible in the PC version.

With all the new PC's with DX10 and all of that.. why not just make the PC version an up-to date version (if not just almost next-gen instead of being way behind).

Unfortunately the PC version is no longer a priority, hence it's a port from the console version.

I hate to be forever the pessimist about the PC versions' qualities, But i really dont think anything will have changes from last year to now. Same menu's, same features, if anything a readjusted simengine, and maybe some small tweaks in the trade logic. It would take a complete overhaul to do it the correct way, and I dont see it happening until they finally port over the new version.

I would say that's pretty likely. Of all the updates that have been made in the Xbox 360/PS3 version this year, the changes to Dynasty Mode along with corrections of problems in NBA Live 07 Current Gen seem the most likely improvements for the PC version.

I hope you can trade with more than 3 players on each team(like the Celtics did when they got Garnett, there were trading like 5 players for 1) and 4-way trading

i am hoping for multiplayer dynasty mode, 3 way trading, more in depth scouting and summer camp so you can see how your rookies play before the season begins. I would also love to be able to have more than 15 players but can only put 15 in the regular rotation. also add saving during the offseason and save a game and come back to it later.

Sorry, I can't talk about Dynasty Mode at this time.

Next year the current gen version is being obliterated except on wii, next year live on pc will either be no more, or it will be next gen, it WON't be current gen though.

I wouldn't go that far. There will be a PS2 release next year if the PS2 sales keep up as they are now. Even if they don't you can't ignore the size of that userbase, consider it's two-three times larger than all 7th Generation consoles combined.

DX10 isn't even a valid excuse, as the X360 runs a DX9 fork. And the PS3 has basically a 7800 inside it, another DX9 piece of hardware.

The ONLY reason the PC version is not a port of X360 is simply because EA does not want to expend the effort to do it. Instead they keep porting the PS2 and adding mouse/scaling capabilities like they've done since Live 2003.

Yes, Dynasty Mode on the PS3 version will be the same as the Xbox 360 version.

What will surely be bad in Ps3 version: Cyberfaces. They will be very very bad, as you can see in the first shots.
