My only problem with what I'm seeing so far, is the Rim, everyone knows the rim has springs. . .when they dunk the rim should bend, it would make the game even more realistic!!!

Still not impressed :?
The players look stiff and move like robots...The dunks look horrible, with the players' hands that stop 1/2 a foot away from the rim.
I'm really looking forward to Andrew's feedback to see if the gameplay is at least on the right track, cuz the graphics and animations really didn't improve IMO...

That Luke Ridnour jump/run/hop-pass was pretty cool. Wait...that is Ridnour, right?

Are you kidding me, this game still looks horrible!

I'm sorry but have you guys not even tried NBA 2k7? Ok I understand that if you are only using PC but if you use a console then you best feel that this game is pathetic. The players dribble like they did too many squats in their life so they have a hunch back, the ball moves like it has no air in it, it seems like gravity isn't much of a factor or there is too much gravity because when the players dunk they go up really high and come down so fast as if it took less than a second. The rim is like a frozen metal that cannot even be shaken. This game just looks and feels choppy.

I am really not even close to being impressed. Good luck EA you and your monopoly ways are finally bitting you back!

HORRIBLE. Im not impressed at all.
Looks choppy and stiff as always. Players dribbling like a streetball game, dunking like a dunk contest, and the moves are so weird and robotic (N)
Looks like they are playing in the moon, theres no gravity,
the ball is weightless

It doesn't look choppy or stiff in any way. And, they dribble no different then they do in the real NBA.

However, I do agree that the dunks seem a bit off to me. I believe they kind of hop up too quick and come down too quick as well. Also, I would like to see the rim bend when someone dunks.

But, overall I have seen great improvements.

You've been playing 2k7 all year? I cannot believe you'd miss Live after playing 2k, seriously, it a difference between the floor and sky, 2k feels much like real basketball IMO.

I understand that 2k hasn't shown anything this year as far as 2k8 is concerned, but who knows, they might be saving a lot of it for E3 this year which is in about a week. The 2k8 homepage went up lately and information is on the way soon.

Look at Live 08, what do they do, they bring out 2 AMAZING "looking" pictures of Live 08 with Gilbert to get everyone hyped up on the graphics, then they bring out the OMG "Go-to-Moves" and they get rid of the freestyle which was bad in the first place, they take out features each year and bring 1 or 2 new ones which get abused most of the times obviously.

They haven't addressed much on the defensive end, rather they've concentrated on the OMG "Go-to-Moves"

Man if EA hadn't signed NFL exclusive, we would be talking about how big of a dump Madden is and how repetitive it seems. But at least we're lucky EA couldn't go exclusive with NBA so we can see how great 2k is at it.

I WAS a Live fan previous to Live 07, but I changed because I dislike the effort they've provided to its costumers, basically every year EA brings the same feature for Live, that is: Freestyle customer service.

you arent seriously saying that 2k used to make better football games than madden. get serious here 2k football games were horrible. and the reason i dont play 2k basketball is because it seems like your standing still creating a strategy it isn't fluid enough. i played both games last year and didnt buy either
2K because i already own 2K6 and they didnt change a damn thing about the gameplay
Live because it has too many bugs. Without the bugs i would pick live 07 over 2K7

It looks pretty good, I love the Arenas step back jumper. The only thing I don't like is how fast the player rises to the rim. Hopefully that will be fixed.

Actually that credit goes to Dontello, read my signature for more info on that.

So I thought I'd use it, but it is honestly true.

Awesome, I'm so happy finally I'm getting a 360 to play next-gen (if they don't have next-gen on PC that is). I don't want to make a fuss about it because it might be considered spam, but I did one of those offer/referral site things and they just sent me a shipping notification!

If PC is next-gen which it won't be, then I'll just sell the xbox somewhere because I won't use it for much anything else besides NBA/NFL/MLB :-p

Everything I've seen for next-gen so far looks very promising, I'm actually excited for this upcoming NBA season and now for NBA live 08.
