Agent zero : NBA live 2008 Coverboy ?

According to real GM, Gilbert Arenas will appear on the cover of NBA Live 2008.
He was chosen over Lebron

I think LeBron's asking price was too expensive.

Arenas, who suffered a torn meniscus earlier this month and is out for the season, is an avid video game player who often goes online and challenges other gamers.

Who wants to bet that it isn't Live he's playing?

The official announcement could be made as soon as tomorrow.

I doubt that we will get an announcement on a Saturday so maybe we'll get it today.

I just want to see a couple screenshots, even if they are NG ones.

After a few trailers, with a player that appeared in most of them, will come out...we'll know for sure.

I can't imagine EA will be too thrilled if Arenas has been chosen as the cover athlete and he keeps saying things like that. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

It's not like EA can't afford it. I personally would love to see Lebron on the cover instead of Arenas.

the cover boy is not really a big selling point so why pay someone a ton of money just to get on it. its more of an honor than anything to be put onto a game cover. only an idiot would buy a game based only by who was on the cover lol.

I'm pretty sure someone posted it from this site. Hmm maybe this means Live 08 has really changed and improved and maybe thats why he decided to be the coverboy....... just playin it's EA

Gilbert will always do anything to sell himself and get publicity. The guy just likes attention.

If you read his blog in NBA.com he's into playing Live 07, even online.

I won't be surprised if EA added to the game Arenas' one-handed shot.

The over doesn't look bad but that Wiz golden uniform is just awful.

Its just a cover,it wont make the game better/worse than 07 .

I'm not a huge fan of the Wizards' gold alternate jersey but it doesn't look too bad.

It is a little early, we didn't find out until June last year.
