How to create new retro courts for NBA live 08

Hello to everyone,
I am thrilled by Paxson's massive retro mod packs. Since I am a modder from a totally different genre (Rome Total War), I am strongly interested how I can make more retro courts (just courts - nothing else, not arenas) for the retro rosters. For example, how I could add more realistic old NBA courts to his sublime mod. Is there any tutorial in order to do it myself?

JaoSming's tutorial helped me when I was trying my hand at some custom courts some years back: JaoSming's Stadium & Court Tutorial
It was originally written for NBA Live 06, but it applies to NBA Live 07 and NBA Live 08 as well.
