sayang guyz noh mas maangas cgro toh kung ma-edit ung mga name ng player pag nakakashoot..may nabasa ako dati na d daw ma-edit ung audio ng nbalive08 kc iba ung format. pwede ko ba mlaman kung anung format nung audio na un??? sa mga nkakaalam thanks in advance..ala lang bka i can make a research about that format maybe i can find the remedy.

for songs in main menu its .asf but i'm not sure about the player announcing. besides, only nba live 06 can we edit the audio in-game. that's why pba live 06 had player anouncements unlike the other pba lives

MODUPDATE:
I have pmed van about the North and South all Star jersey, but i think he is also busy IRL, so made the north and south and included it in the mod. I also added the fictional UPB AllStar Arena that will be used in Rookie Sophomore Allstar and the North and South Allstar Arena. I encoutered a problem when i change the northsouth abbreviation names, so i just use the original NBA west east names. Your NBA roster will still be playable but the allstar logo and arena used will the the UPB. The north and south logos (the new logos) used came from Double LC. I wanted to add all the new circle logos by Double LC, but theres no time to finish it. We just have to ask Double LC to release it as a UPB Logo Patch.

I would like to apologize to prinsipe as i promise to upload the files a day ago, but im really tired during office days and uploading a large files takes so long. Anyway with or without the new TNT and new ROS jersey, i will upload the UPB BETA tonight. I can't upload it this afternoon as i need to service some computers today (sayang sideline din yun), so later i will have more free time. So expect the BETA release early tomorrow morning.

The BETA release is almost a full version, with all games mode playable with all teams have proper jerseys and enough CFs to make it enjoyable. The only main thing missing is a complete frontend. If i would do a complete frontend, baka di na to ma release and live09 might be release 1st. There is no point releasing a full version as 2k9 is moddable. The real main purpose of this mod is to enjoy all the game modes in live08 and thats what UPB MOD is all about. Again BETA release will be the only UPB release except for some bug fixes and updates. I would like to stop modding as i will move on to animating mythology in mindanao.

BRIEF HISTORY ABOUT THE UPB MOD.
I started the mod May 10, 2008 at NLSC forum and its ready for a BETA November 9, 2008, so thats 6 months in the making.
There are already PBALIVE game releases, but i want to play and enjoy all the game modes the NBALIVE has to offer. Someone told me at Panelo forum that PBALIVE can never be played in Dynasty mode, as well as the other modes like 3pts shootout, dunking, etc. Actually he was right, but you can make it work if you have 30 teams in the game but it wont be a PBA league anymore. Replacing all the 30 NBA teams with 30 philippine commercial teams will make all modes working. Thats when i decided to combine PBA, PBL, and LP to complete the 30 team requirement.
It would be a huge project to make all the 30 teams, and luckily Kris, Jenner, and Gen were there to support the project at the start.Kris advised me to talk with the current PBALIVE team, so that i can use some of their material to speed up the completion of the mod. I would like to thank the PBALIVE Team Gmac and others for allowing me to use some of their materials and it was a great boost for the mod. Dann Garcia and Bokayo also allowed the use of their ARENAS.

At the middle of the development, Gen (the one who help me with the PBA jerseys) then became busy
as the school started already sometime June-July. I was then alone again, making the jerseys and CFs. Half way mking the PBL jerseys, i recieved a PM from prinsipe with a lot of PBL materials and that made the completion of the PBL jerseys. Then making the LP jerseys, i found myself alone again and LP have the most teams in UPB (12 teams). Another great patcher again came named hingedman. He made 3 LP jersey, the misor, cavite, and the cebu jersey he made a long time ago.

After finishing all the Home and Away Jerseys for all teams, I got sick and i was hospitalized some time in September. I had a galblader stone so the doctors have to remove it. A week after my operated, i was really determine to finish the mod.

Now, all the Jersey are done, but theres another problem. Making 60 practice jerseys! This will take long so i asked the PBATEAM for some more help. I believe ivan_kups and 2004 contacted the jersey makers for the PBALIVE. We got lucky again and Cavs23 allowed us to use the 20 PBA Practice jerseys. Theres still another problem, making hte 40 practice jerseys. Then came principe again and volunteered to make all the remaining practice jersey.

Since i got my hands off the jerseys, i then concentrated on finishing the ROSTER. My working ROSTER got bugged, so i started with a new clean roster. I didnt know making the roster would be hard and it took more than 2 weeks to finish it. Thanks to Andrew for answering my questions regarding the ROSTER.

Now with some finishing materials, Double LC made the UPB logos as well as a scoreboard (bugged so we used the old one), van volunteered to make the Norht and South (i never received the jerseys, maybe he was busy), iris and jenz made some new logos for the new pba season, vhan volunteered to make the new ROS and TNT jerseys (he didnt finish the jersey on time of the BETA release) and June19 submitted a lot of great quality CFs.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS MOD:
- working exhabition games
- working season mode
- working dynasty mode
- working 3pts shootout
- working dunking contest
- working rookie sophomore contest
- working allstar game
- working FIBA competition

BUGS AND LIMITATION
- no player name sounds by the announcers
- sometimes simulation crashes (this is present even without the mod)
- crashes when you exit season and dynasty mode. better press the X (close botton)
at the upper right corner to close the game then just load it again to start a new season/dynasty or game.

WHAT YOU NEED:
You need an original NBALIVE 2008 for this mod to work.
Suggested Video Card for the mod is at least a GeForceFX5500 with pixel shader 2.0. If you use GeForce MX models, players would look very bright. Better find another darker lighting patch.

WARNING:
Install the mod at your own risk. Don't blame me/us if something happens to your pc.

INSTALLATION:
1) Pls backup your nbalive game. Files are ai, anim, audio, movies, sgsm, tuning, and layout.
2) Open the nba directory folder and copy all files to your default nbalive directory. Click yes to overwrite the files.
NBA default directory is C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 08.
3) open roster folder and copy all files to your nba save game directory.
NBA default save game directory is C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\My Documents\NBA LIVE 08.

About the bugs like jersey being wrong, pls post it here or better at pinoy-NLSC so it can be monitored easily.
