[CLUE] NCAA Live 08 patch need help on CF

He looks too young, Dallas Lauderdale looks like an old man.
Add more beard and an older look and he will be great.

Edit: Probably the sweat patch that has him looking younger?

Looks like you have the features in the right place, the tattoo tear drops look in a really good position.
But you have to fix the blending, and he may be a little darker than that?
Do you have a headshape?

yup i have now his headshape... can you please give me some other sources for his face cuz my reference is not that good cuz there is a shadow in his face

a couple of things. 1st- are you intending on finishing this mod because i've been waiting for 3 years for the '05 ncaa mod to be completed and every year it's about 90% completed, then abandoned and never finished. i only buy nba live to play with ncaa teams when mods are completed.
as far as teams go, i think you should include the top 32 or 40 teams in the last poll. i especially would like like to see gonzaga, washington state, and most, if not all, of the teams in the major conferences - pac10, acc, sec, big 12, and big 10

Yukon, I know exactly what you are sayin' Buddy. I have waited for that mod for 2-3 years also.
I keep in touch with Dirtdog on MSN, and he pretty much given up on ever being able to complete that mod before March. He had asked for help since November; and no one helped out.
In this thread alone I asked these guys to team up with him, and then when I chat with him he says no one has ever contacted him.

This mod is not even 25% complete, and March Madness starts tomorrow

What do you do for portraits? Just cut out his picture and put it on top of a logo?

Sorry for DP but whoever is in control of this should talk to the guy leading the NBA Live 08 Draft Project because they have CF's and portraits of some of the guys included in this mod!

Please, please, please get Kentucky in there. We aren't on top this year but year in and year out we are a top team. I pretty much only bought this game hoping for an NCAA patch but without Kentucky I still wouldn't have an NCAA patch. Did I say please already?

The Tournament is going to be over before you release your first team

Why is it that every year someone tries to make an NCAA or March Madness Mod and it never gets done? These are the top reasons why this mod will never get done, never:

1) Making cyberfaces for college players - As if making good roster, courts and jerseys isn't hard enough. Why would you waste time on making faces for players who stay in school for an average of 2 years? Specific cyberfaces are not needed and are a waste of time. Just make the skin color, height and position right.


2) Teams that should be included in the Mod - If your the one who decides what teams will be in the mod, stand firm on your decisions which teams to include. And you should decide if this is a "March Madness Mod" or an NCAA Mod, because there is a difference. Pick one! Then either use the teams in this year's tournament or set teams for an NCAA mod. And no matter how much people beg for there under achieving teams (*cough Kentucky cough*) to be in the mod only choose those worthy. You can't please everybody. At least complete the mod. Then if you want to fill request go ahead, after the mod is done.


3) Assign specific people to do specific things - Before even posting this topic or in the early going you should have specifically assigned patchers who are interested in this mod. Make someone do rosters only, jerseys only, courts only. Cyberface patchers should be useless for this mod.

4) Loss of interest - As soon as the NCAA Tournament is over, no one will really care about this mod anymore just like last year, and the year before that, oh and the year before that. I bet your not even a quarter of the way through this mod and as of today , they are down to the Sweet 16 teams left in the tourney, so time and interest is against you.

5) You started too late - This mod was started to late in the game and is developing slowly and will eventually screech to a snail-like halt. This game came out in October if memory serves me correct. If there was going to be an NCAA Mod it would have been completed already, and obviously its not so it won't get done. If the mod was already completed which would have been great, a secondary march madness mod could have been created and we all would have had "March Madness" on our PCs. But I digress, carry on with your project hopefully you can take my cynicism for what it is...trying to let you see what your doing is killing your own project.

I'm familiar with Projects and organization, as I'm a project manager for a software company but hey whatever.....do your thing, but excuse while I wait for next years attempt at an NCAA Mod. It's like every year someone comes along and hangs a piece of cheese in front of community members that we will never get. Wheew, Glad I got that out.

The only problem with the Live 06 version, is there was no working roster or any actual courts. Besides that all the other parts looked great.

arden_05- All your points are 100% correct.
There has not been an NCAA mod since Live 2004 and that one was not all that from what I hear; pretty generic in all fazes of the mod.
I believe the greatest attempt has been the Live 2005 version (It's still going on I assume)? But it is getting no help so that one is also incomplete.

I strongly agree with you about the mod being started too late, and then the excitement wears off by April.

ps, Can We get a UCONN and Marquette jersey?
