hey Kris i tried your fix. its all good, but the game crashes in a minut in the game. whats that about : (

no it does crash, but only in dynasty mode in my comp. jesh, made a triplepost. sorry, would just like to get it to work

This is true Kris, I actually experienced it. Please do research about this bug.

Hey Kris... Your 1.33 so far... have the BEST defensive gameplay...
I played NJN vs Boston..
Before... Vince can dunk in front of KG without being block..
Now... Out of 5 dunks against KG.. Vince will be block 3 times... heehee
Great Hard Defense...
I played NJN vs Boston game for about 3 games... NJN nets win it all (bec. i'm controlling NJN haha)
Boston is averaging 13 block. out of 3 games..
Post Defense is quite great.. Double team came just right in time...
Ball interception by CPU is improved.. they can now steal 13 or more..
My players can feel the defensive pressure....
Best DEFENSIVE gameplay...

Offensive
nice execution of play...
alley-oops is improved... i saw for about.. 4 alley-oops in my game
the only problem is..
when CPU is in fastbreak, when they reach the painted area, they stop and then they will pass the ball outside the rainbow area...
that should be a dunk instead of a pass..

Bro Kris, is that your patch?? cauz, i installed Albys Realistic Roster, then i played Rookie Sophomore Challenge, there's no crashes happened, but after that, i install ur Gameplay Fix 1.32, i played Rookie Sophomore Challenge Again, then the game crashes?? is there any solution that u can give me bro?? pls?? :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown:

so it means only one problem left they stop below the ring instead of a dunk or a layup .. ok ill fix this :D

and about that problem in the dynasty do not just place my teams.dbf to the dynasty directly cus it will really cus some problems to your game instead put the teams.dbf first to a new roster then load it and make a new Dynasty :mrgreen:

and about that rookie and sophomore hmmm maybe the .bat files of webberf1 did not include the new sigshots numbers to the rosters ill try to tell webberf1 about the problem :D

bro kris, i'm not using WebberF1's Roster Patch, i'm using Albys Realistic Roster 08 v.2, that Rookie Sophomore Crashing Issue i'm experiencing now.. pls bro kris, help me :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown:

yeah its great just the the under the rim on fastbreaks they wait on the defense then score also, when small guards like telfair are under the rim they try to dunk and then do an ugly lay up and miss

For Gameplay fix 1.33 beta version:

Does anyone else notice besides me that Every time the USER misses a shot, the CPU team would run a Fast-Break for an easy layup? It seems that the USER team is too slow to get back on Defence which makes the CPU drive into the lane for an easy layup.

This is what i'm talking about:
1) User misses the shot
2) CPU PF/C grabs the rebound
3) CPU PF/C passes the ball to the SG/SF
4) CPU SG/SF passes the ball to the PF/C
5) CPU PF/C drives in the lane for an easy layup
6) USER team is still running back on Defence but is too slow to stop the basket.

This happens everytime the USER misses the shot.

What you can tweak is that either the USER Team runs back on defence faster after a missed shot or that the CPU team slows down after they grab the missed shot.

P.S. The PG does not touch the ball in this sequence so i don't believe it has to do with the PG quickness rating

Hi Kris - I wonder if there is an automatic comback stored somewhere in the AI?

It's almost impossible to not having a close game, no matter who you play.
When I am controlling San Antonio and playing Seattle it is very difficult to pull away and get like a 15 pts advantage, even if I try several times its anyway a close game.
So maybe I have the sliders set too hard?
But it's the same way if I reverse it and control the lesser teams against the best, like me being Seattle and CPU being San A.
It's like the old NBA Live's where you could set a function that automatically made the game close.
I hate this - when I play with a crappy team I want to get beat!

Is it your fixes that makes it like this - I dont remember how the game was out of the box in this regard because I only play with your fixes.
I specially like your 1.3 because of the tempo although 1.32 have everything else (Y)

Actually I am using Webber's F1 roster with your gameplay fix and it crashes during Dynasty Mode. I've tried your suggestion but to no avail. Anything else I can do?

NBA Live 08 w/o AIACT , Webber's rosters , Lagoas courts, etc. 1.33 4/10
NBA Live 08 w/ AIACT w/ Webbers rosters etc..... 9.2/10

+ CPU goes for alot of Dunks
+ CPU Alley-Oops Correctly
+ Long Passes Improved
+ Blocking is easier and works more appropriately
+ CPU good use of special moves and GTM's
+ Now holding Pass does Playmaker Pass (At least mine does :wink: )
+ GTM's Rainbows goes in now
+ CPU gets the rebound and dunks or lays it up mid air

-Players dont have Xbox 360 Glow :lol:
-Players Need to Move faster off picks , screens and Designed Plays
-Crowd needs a fix (3d Crowd)

Man not to sound mean but just get back on defense yourself its not that hard, or cut off the guard who gets the ball first, then try to deny the inside man dats what I do sometimes but mostly with the gameplay fix my team makes shots so we dont really worry a bout that :wink:

Well if you say with the gameplay fix that your team makes shots that means that it's really unrealistic since in real life teams shoot at around 40-50%. And btw I'm playing on SuperStar with Andrew's roster so maybe your game runs slower/easier than mine since it sounds like you are play on an easier difficulty. Therefore you don't encounter this bug since most of your shots go in. If you watch a real NBA game, teams do not run fast breaks right after they retrieve the rebound, some teams like the Suns, Dallas do but generally most of the teams in the NBA tend to rebound the ball, jog up the court and set up a half-court offensive play. But maybe you prefer a more Arcade style of play so you may think this bug is normal.

^^^nall its realistic 4sho, all the shots are wide open or like i said stop the outlet men, but the original game gets it and slows it down and ea sports gameplay is terrible, dats why you downloaded this right

and about all your comments yeah it seems that when you miss a shot the cpu directly passes the ball frontcourt to the pf or c or sg and sf for an easy layup or a dunk ive tried really hard to fix that problem but i will give up i will still find some right values for this so that i can release this now.

and good news guys i think i can add some fancy passes from the street aiact of jao but i still need to ask permission from him to add it to my next release :D

sorry for letting you wait too long guys but as soon as i finish this i wll release it right away :D

missed shots = fastbreaks points. You can stop the fastbreaks but it will give you a hard time chasing the ballhandler.. ^.^ but when the computer do this all the time, they will be quickly exhausted, that's the time to attack then with your sharp defense (also our blocking now is a lot easier, you can take advantage of that)... I think for now, that will be the fix for that problem.

1. Yes Free Throw Bug makes me want to take a trip to Canada :roll:
What I Do is just select the 2 back guards and let the CPU handle it
Not much else you can do Shake those Thunder Sticks
Hit your friends controller down get in his ear

2. My Settings are quite different from all yours I bet. I play 12 Minutes
of only the 4th qtr after I click Intervention in Season Mode. This allows me to
select different teams each day keeps it fresh plus w/ sim engine produces good
stats on a consistent basis.

3. I noticed that some game settings are hard coded
ex. I put S M L shooting all to 100 but I still missed shots technically all
shots should go in this is for both CPU and Human Settings I tried Reverse
S M L to 0 but no luck :lol:

4. Sorry Mate but play some damn D will ya :P
No probs here fastbreaks are part of the game there are Crash Boards
or Not Crash Boards. One Guard or Two guard Fastbreak Rotation
Remember Double Teams Pressure Settings all these come in to play

ok i have now applied some fancy passes and some dunks from the street mod aiact of jao and the release is now really coming soon just making some final touches to the entries cus sometimes it causes some crashes but as soon as i fix it ill release it right away :D
