If we can't give big heads to all players (J.R. Smith is a prominent example, he's definitely in the rosters) then we might have to skip that, but looking at the list of special characters suggestions we've got so far plus a couple of others that just came to mind:

An idea for the logo would be sth involving the 2 games.NBA live and NBA jam.Maybe try to modify EA's fireball logo.

If in the team we added some of the Sprite Showdown dunkers?
I also suggest Usher in the celebrity team


If you like it you can keep this as the main logo,there's no problem at all.

I'm just going by what was said before, that some players headshapes couldn't be edited. If that's the case, and we can't give some players big heads, I'd rather none of the players have big heads rather than some with and some without. If we can have big heads for everyone then that's certainly an idea but if we can't give some players big heads then I'd rather skip the whole thing as it would look silly to have some with big heads and others without (and not in a good way ).

I only said that because it was mentioned before that his .ebo couldn't be opened. If it can be then no problem but if there's players we can't give big heads to, they're going to stand out from the rest. In that case, better to not to have any big heads in the first place.

For the moment I don't want to add any more teams because I don't want the mod held up too much while we're trying to get art in place - in few months time I'll be working on the offseason updates and creating all the rookies is a long process so I'll need to dedicate the free time I have for patching to that. If we can get the art in time I'll certainly consider it but I'd rather get the teams I've planned on finished and a v1.0 out there, then we can start looking at add-ons.

As for the logo, I'm happy to run with that. I'll add it to the first post.

i havnt had time to work on a logo yet...i was thinking something more custom...when i have time ill work on it/post it asap

But it's not definetely suitable for the mod logo.
I would love to have it as the intro screen though.It's more suitable for the screens as it resembles an intro screen more than a logo ,if u understood what i mean(English is not my mother tongue,so i may messed it up a little )

Maybe if you take him on a dunk and put fire effects in the ball,to be sth like Boom Shaka-Laka!

I think it makes a great promotional image though.

i wanted to make a "boom shaka laka" with josh smith and his buzzer beater dunk against orlando....

but there isnt any good pix of it

as far as "logo" i was going the route of nba live for this one...and made that bar thing with the "nba live" i thought that was a good enough logo

if one that has more of a jam-style is better than i can think of one for that

KidJustin, i'm not telling you that this is not great,but i believe that when i see your image,the first thing coming into my mind is that it is used as a intro screen.The whole thing it resembles.

about the DVD screen i have only one word for it: EPIC!!!
i just love it!

ej17, if u can find me a really good picture of any player hitting a 3 pointer...i'll use it as the "he's on fire" (the lebron pic i thought was just really good...cuz it was a buzzer beater from half court...and he shot it so clean!)

or if u can help me find a REALLY good dunk pic...perferable with the ball in the rim already so i can make an exploding rim effect and put "boomshakalaka!"

Maybe. We've got a fairly long list for the moment but any suggestions are welcome, if I can get faces for them I'll add them to the roster at some point.

maybe if we get enough celebrities from different regions/groups

we can create multiple 10-man teams (when we get to that point)

like
superheros (and/or villains)
rappers/sings/actors
asian celebrities/figures
american celebrities/figures
..etc

i guess for the sake of a quick release...just throw whoever we can get into the pool for now and we will sort them later

it also kind of looks like the old jam arenas for each team had the jam logo at the center..but everything else team colors....would that be something u would want to do?

We can certainly look at making some celebrity teams etc at some point, as I said I envision that stuff as v2.0 or via add-ons.

I don't think we're going to be able to get any art from the console games as we can't open those files with any of our tools (so far as we know). It'd be great if we could, though.

A plain/generic arena wouldn't be a bad idea, no need to re-do every team's arena if we want a Jam court.
