Re: Ratings Suggestions

I've already adjusted Brook Lopez's ratings but I can take another look. Thanks for the heads up on Courtney Lee's jersey number, unfortunately things like that can slip past when I'm double-checking.

That Marcus Thornton kid is pretty darn good. Hows everything coming along with the rosters? I appreciate the hardwork and time you put into them.

Not finished as of this post but still working towards it.

Grizzlies's OJ MAYO

Wed Oct 20, 2010 2:28 pm

I'll say what i think the ratings of this team must have. That's my thinking.

OJ MAYO

FG 80
3PT 80 to 83
FT 80 or 81
DUNK Ok
STL 65 to 70
BLK Ok
ORA Ok
DRB Ok
BAA Ok
OFF Ok
DEF 65 to 70
SPE Ok
QUI Ok
JUMP Ok
DRB 82 to 84
STRE 50 to 55
HARDY 80 to 85
SHOR Ok
FATIG 80 to 85
INSCO 65 to 70
CLUT Ok
The guy can score from outside and inside to, he can go to the basket. Hes a good shotter from 3pt line his 3pt% in the 2 seasons he had play is 38% with 145 and 136 3pt fg made respectively in his 2 seasons in the nba.

As far as fatigue is concerned, remember that the rosters for NBA Live 07 and NBA Live 08 have adjusted fatigue ratings to try and combat the substitution problems. I'm fairly sure Mayo's fatigue rating is around that level already in the NBA Live 2005 and NBA Live 06 rosters which don't have that problem but I'll double check.

Hmm... Why do Kirilenko has a high rating?

If you have constructive feedback, post it instead of beating around the bush. However, once again I must note that individual ratings are far more important than the overall and the overall is absolutely the wrong thing to focus on. So if your suggestion is to make an overall rating look "better", please be advised that I will ignore it.

mind checking my personal adjustments? some players have too high ratings. http://www.sendspace.com/file/h58ce0

Sorry, I don't really have time to go through another roster while I'm trying to work on my own. One of the things I've been doing that's continued to push back the release of the rosters is that I'm going through and fixing up the ratings of every player that's currently in the league. Feel free to post any noteworthy suggestions but please note that since I'm going through everyone anyway, players that really need to be updated are probably going to have much better ratings in the next release.

What is Andrei Kirilenko's rating?

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Mon Feb 21, 2011 9:17 pm

I can't remember offhand. I believe his overall is currently in the low 80s, with all individual ratings updated according to his stats.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Brook Lopez rebounds shoud go dramatically down. If i'm not mistaking, he has an 80 on both. he should be around the 40-50 as he is probably the worst rebounder for a 7-footer averaging only 5.8 rebounds a game.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Mon Feb 28, 2011 10:34 am

I've noticed his rebounding numbers have been a bit ordinary this season. I'll take another look and try to set something more appropriate.

I think 66 rating for Xavier Henry is too low. You may want to check revisit it.
Thanks.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

As I explained in the first post, I don't boost ratings to make the overalls look "better"; focusing in the overall ratings is absolutely the wrong way to approach things.

I based Henry's ratings off his current stats and taking another glance at them, I see no reason to raise any of his ratings at this time.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Derrick Rose FT's should go up to 86 according to his current FT% in reality.
Brooks Lopez Rebs should go down on both, IMO 40-45, last game: 3 Rebs.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Tue Apr 12, 2011 11:12 pm

I did lower Lopez's rebounding ratings in the last update to a more reasonable figure given his averages on the season, but I'll take another look. I'll be going through all the free throw ratings at some point but for the moment I can update Rose's and any others that stand out.

I know that we're always talking about that the overalls are not important but after the Memphis - San Antonio series I think that Duncan's ratings should go down, he shuold be around the 75-80 Overall. On the other hand, Randolph's should go up.
I guess that the best ratings to change in order to achieve those targets are mainly the Off/Def Awereness.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Tue May 03, 2011 11:10 pm

I'll take another look but it's difficult to make those changes without lowering/boosting ratings for the sake of it, which I'd prefer not to do. If there are any other individual ratings that could stand to be changed based on their stats this season - one series isn't really a big enough sampling, to be honest - then let me know and I'll be sure to check them out.
