How many points does your team score on average? If you're having fun with that lineup that's great, but I've found it difficult to aim for much realism when I've had teams like that.

Sun Mar 16, 2008 2:38 am

I was able to trade:
(from the wolves) Jefferson, Walker for Dwight Howard.
Then I sign Arenas as a free agent to a 5 year contract.

So the lineup would be:
Howard
Smith
Brewer
Arenas
Foye

Sun Mar 16, 2008 9:25 am

this was my line-up for my rockets dynasty in yr 2
Ilgauzkas (77)
Amare Stoudamire (91)
Marion (91)
Gerald Green (77)
Daniel Gibson (75)

traded marion for mcgrady straight, traded yao and francis for stoudamire, gibson was a F.A

My team scores ~ 110 points on average, but today I have installed new patches and then I won only with 91:80.

17) Duncan (93), Brewer (70), Scalabrine (59) <-> Nowitzki (91), Stackhouse (77), Ager (56) (Mavericks)

18) Smith (59) <-> Quinn (64) (Heat)

19) Quinn (64), Wilks (62) <-> Moon (68), Martin (61) (Raptors)

-->

C : Dirk Nowitzki (91) / Andrew Bynum (70)
F : Kevin Garnett (97) / Glen Davis (66) / Zarko Cabarkapa (60)
F : Paul Pierce (88 ) / Jerry Stackhouse (77) / Jamario Moon (68)
G : Andre Iguodala (87) / Gerald Green (73) / Yakhouba Diawara (61)
G : Deron Williams (80) / Viktor Khryapa (56) / Darrick Martin (61)

I want to trade Deron Williams, but the problem is that he costs only $4.000.000. Stackhouse is a good expensive filler ($7.000.000).
I could do some trades:
Igoudala + x <-> Paul (but then I have to trade Williams for a SG/SF)
Williams + Stackhouse <-> Bosh (but then I've got no more PG)
Williams <-> Deng
Igoudala + x+ x <-> Dwight Howard
Nowitzki + x + x <-> Bryant (?)
Stackhouse + Green + Diawara <-> Terry + Fazekas + Barea (but Deron Williams is too good for the bench)

Edit:

20) Stackhouse (77), Green (73), Diawara (61) <-> Terry (83), Fazekas (63), Barea (62) (Mavericks)

21) Williams (80), Fazekas (63), Barea (62) <-> Deng (81), Smith (59), Johnson (61) (Heat)
-->

C : Dirk Nowitzki (91) / Andrew Bynum (70) / Craig Smith (59)
F : Kevin Garnett (97) / Glen Davis (66) / Aleksander Johnson (61)
F : Paul Pierce (88 ) / Luol Deng (81) / Zarko Cabarkapa (60)
G : Andre Iguodala (87) / Jamario Moon (68) / Maurice Ager (56)
G : Jason Terry (83) / Viktor Khryapa (56) ) / Derrick Martin (61)

Now I want to trade Igoudala (87) for Paul (86) and Moon (68) for an Backup PG (65-70)

Edit 2:

22) Moon (68) <-> Navarro (68) (Grizzlies)

-->

C : Dirk Nowitzki (91) / Andrew Bynum (70) / Craig Smith (59)
F : Kevin Garnett (97) / Glen Davis (66) / Aleksander Johnson (61)
F : Paul Pierce (88 ) / Luol Deng (81) / Zarko Cabarkapa (60)
G : Andre Iguodala (87) / Viktor Khryapa (56) / Maurice Ager (56)
G : Jason Terry (83) / Juan Carlos Navarro (68) / Derrick Martin (61)

Edit 3:

23) Smith (59), Johnson (61) <-> Piatkowski (60) (Suns)

Maurice Ager (56) waived and Dale Davis (60) signed.

24) Cabarkapa (60), Davis (60) <-> Sene (52) (Sonics)

Vitali Potapenko (58) and Ervin Johnson (58) signed.

Sene, Jonhson, Potapenko and Piatkowski are expensive players, I need them as fillers. I have to trade Deng and Igoudala because their contracts end this year :-( The Hornets don't give me Paul for Igoudala, now I want Ginobili.

-->

C : Dirk Nowitzki (91) / Andrew Bynum (70) / Ervin Johnson (58) / Mouhamed Sene (52)
F : Kevin Garnett (97) / Glen Davis (66) / Vitali Potapenko (58)
F : Paul Pierce (88 ) / Luol Deng (81) /
G : Andre Iguodala (87) / Viktor Khryapa (56) / Eric Piatkowski (60)
G : Jason Terry (83) / Juan Carlos Navarro (68) / Derrick Martin (61)

Edit 4:

25) Navarro (68), Martin (61), Piatkowksi (60) <-> Thaddeus Young (66), Maurice Taylor (64) (Wizards)

-->

C : Dirk Nowitzki (91) / Andrew Bynum (70) / Ervin Johnson (58) / Mouhamed Sene (52)
F : Kevin Garnett (97) / Glen Davis (66) / Maurice Taylor (64) / Vitali Potapenko (58)
F : Paul Pierce (88 ) / Luol Deng (81) /
G : Andre Iguodala (87) / Viktor Khryapa (56)
G : Jason Terry (83) / Thaddeus Young (66)

Mon Mar 24, 2008 3:09 am

26) Young (67), Taylor (64) <-> Young (70), Pecherov (54) (Wizards)

Lynn Greer (61) signed.

27) Greer (61) <-> Diawara (61) (Nuggets)

28) Young (70), Pecherov (54), Sene (52) <-> Atkins (67), McCoy (61), Von Wafer (55) (Nuggets)

-->

C : Dirk Nowitzki (91) / Andrew Bynum (70) / Jelani McCoy (61)
F : Kevin Garnett (97) / Glen Davis (66) / Vitali Potapenko (59) / Ervin Johnson (59)
F : Paul Pierce (88 ) / Luol Deng (81) / Von Wafer (55)
G : Andre Iguodala (87) / Viktor Khryapa (57) / Yakhouba Diawara (61)
G : Jason Terry (83) / Chucky Atkins (67)

Sun Jun 01, 2008 5:28 pm

I have these players ( and am 21-4 right now and simulated most of the games)

C- Greg Oden (76)
PF- Karlene Hunter (77)- rookie
SF- Lebron James (99)
SG- Aidan Lewis (76)- third year player
PG- DeMarco Stevensen (76)

Bench
PG- Ty Graham (75)- compared to TJ Ford
SG- Wesley Ellison (73)- compared to Manu Ginobili
PF- Nick Collison (70)-
SG- Cameron Wood (70)- compared to David Wesley
PF- Boris Graham ( 65)- not sure of comparison but great quickness and speed for a pf
SF- Morris Peterson ( 66)
PG- Chris Duhon ( 65)
SF- Shane Battier ( 63)
PF- Antawn Jamison (72)
C- Gary Dixon (67)- decent for an underdrafted player for me.

so what do you think I am on year 2013-2014 Season. part of me wants to trade Oden to a team right now stinking it up maybe to the lakers and get Sammy D and a 1st rounder since he is on the lakers and they right now have the 5th worst record.

Somebody asked, if this is fantasy draft...well it isnt, i made this team just with trades and free agents ;)

Hughes -> Chris Bosh
Gooden, Marshall -> Yao Ming
Ilgauskas, Bosh -> Kobe Bryant
Newble, Snow, Gibson -> Pau Gasol
Added FA: Donta Smith, Marc Jackson, Dee Brown
Pau Gasol, Donta Smith, 1st round pick [CLE] -> Elton Brand
Elton Brand, Dee Brown, Marc Jackson -> Kevin Garnett

This was the original roster, you know. You can do wonders with it xD

In my dynasty with the KNICKS I was able to get Kobe, Rashard Lewis, Andrew Bargnegi, Mike Conley, Kevin Durant, and Chauncy Billups. Through that spann when i had these players i ended up in the finals 3 times with Kobe. Where he won 2 Finals MVP, and its funny how he retired when he got 6 like MJ. Before i aquired him he won won over in LA. So i figured i had too get this guy in order for NY to be a better franchise. i ended up quitting though after my 5th year because my whole Live crashed it was interesting, because Durant was like at 91 after Kobe left that following year he won that championship. Mike Conley developed into a great pg 2. so i think i still would have had an strong team for like 8 more years or so lol. O Well all good things don't last :lol:

Tue Jun 10, 2008 12:02 am

Wed Jun 11, 2008 6:59 am

Ron Artest for Kevin Durant.
Ron is better but i really dont like him and kevin is a good young player

Wed Jun 11, 2008 8:47 pm

lol thanks, king james is a monster...out of 10 games 8 of them hes got a triple double, with about 30-40 points in each game...my other guys dont have to do much now 0.0

Re: who has been able to do big trades?

Wed Jun 18, 2008 3:35 am

[quote="money89"]in my lakers i traded javaris bryant and fisher for nowitzki harris and howard

and other good role players

any ideas for a franchse for me to choose so i can trade their current players to acquire all of the players mentioned above[/quote

You can do a fantasy draft]

Wed Jun 18, 2008 11:32 pm

In my lakers dynasty with standard EA roster i was able to send Kwame Brown to Toronto for Chris Bosh, very nice (Y)

Wed Jun 18, 2008 11:50 pm

Straight up? I've never been able to take advantage of the CPU like that.

Thu Jun 19, 2008 12:22 am

I had to trade with the nuggets 3 times to get the players i wanted, but basically this is what went down

Traded Odom and Turiaf for Carmelo and Kleiza

Didn't want to be without Odom though so this is what I did....

Got Nene and Turiaf for Radmanovic, Bynum and Ariza

Signed Gerald Green by mid level exception

then traded Gerald Green, Turiaf and Nene for Bynum and Odom

so my s5 = Gasol Odom Carmelo Kobe and Fisher with Bynum and Kleiza to bring power to the bench....

:P

Thu Jun 19, 2008 12:24 am

oh btw does anyone else use Lakers in their dynasty and get an overweight, straight sloppy fat Kobe Bryant by 2011? I had to go in and edit his weight and stuff because in his "player evolution" apparently Kobe goes nuts at Chinese Buffets during the 2011 off season.

Sat Jun 21, 2008 6:04 pm

In my pistons i have..

amare
bargani
iguodala
miller
billups

m.williams
afflalo
stuckey
criteton
gasol
childress

nieto...rookie
smith...rookie

should i trade ray allen for vince carter

Sun Jun 29, 2008 6:56 pm

Depends on your playing style, whom else you've got on the team and whether you'd rather have Carter than Allen.

Mon Jun 30, 2008 10:19 pm

2010-2011 Phoenix Suns

C Oden 87
PF Stoudamire 96
SF Gay 86
SG Ellis 85
PG Bird (2nd year) 82

2nd year is also Weagan SF 83

Gay has 99 for dunking and has won the Slam Dunk Contest twice in a row.

How did I do with my team. Give a grade if you want. :mrgreen:

Can you post how you made these trades?
And Bird is a generated rookie, am I right?

It is so hard to trade in Live 08. It is ridiculous. Even when you edit the players ratings down to the point where you are completely getting ripped off, they won't accept. I found it literally impossible to trade for Martell Webster. Even a Calderon (82) for Webster (22) trade was declined.

Then the CPU goes and accepts Oden and Frye for LeBron James. :roll:

lamrock. wrote:Then the CPU goes and accepts Oden and Frye for LeBron James. :roll:

:shock:

Yeah, CPU usually makes crazy deals. In my dinasty with the Sonics,
LeBron James was traded twice in two seasons.
First from Cleveland to Utah for Boozer and then from Utah to Dallas for Nowitzky.

Regarding Seattle, I traded Wilcox and Collison for Aldrige in 2010 I think.
That was the only major trade I did.

I really don't know

But Oden, Ellis and Gay came in the first year. Barbosa, N'diaw, Skinner and Hill were traded for them.

I cant remember who for who but I think n'diaw for Oden. Ellis for Barbosa and Skiner and Hill for Gay. Can be wrong about it. And an central Jefferson or something I got and he was included with one of the players above.

Then the 2nd year I traded the draft picks and I think I used a bug in the game. I got the Pacers and Philedelphia's first picks[1st and 3rd overall] for my 1st and 2nd round pick. :s

From there I picked Weagan and someonelse with a great potentional. This player I changed with one of my other players for the Rookie Bird.

An so I got my team. :D It is young and good, I won the play-offs twice in a row. :D

EDIT: Bird and Weagan are generated yes. ;)
