This is tough.
The easiest way is to upgrade your ram and maybe your CPU.
Do you know the model of your motherboard?

google it and when you check it ,it will show your mobo as well

dare, maybe near 00's, maybe about 98' or 99. then we just keep upgrading it.

It will be really hard to upgrade without giving once more money for a new mobo and cpu.
Try to look at a cheap Athlon am2 motherboard and CPU or Intel Socket 755 CPU and motherboard(Core 2 Duo,Core 2 Quad)

Buying a new CPU temporarily will do the job though

Chipset is the base of the video card.
Is the motherboard and cpu of the graphics cards.
The newer the chipset is,the faster it is and the more functions it provides
