You can use DBFPlus to open your players.dbf(in \NBA LIVE 08\saves),
then edit those legends' ORIGTEAM and TEAM to 50(free agents),
and you'll find them in the free agents.

how about Dennis Rodman? How can i put him in the free agent pool?

tubeojack, to put Rodman in the free agent pool, you do the exact same thing. You gotta have him created first though if you haven't already.
