Re: FSHLINE bug or what?

Yea thats pretty simple thats what i've been doing
thats the only file i move is the bhed i move it to the first folder and replace then i take the 3 files drop them in the Fshline folder and drag the index file on to it.The end results always like the above picture.Im using windows 7 that could be the problem maybe i've tried different versions of Fshline still same results.Switch compatibility mode still same as pic above.Maybe the tool needs to be updated :|

Are those 3 files your bhed, index file and a black and white bhed of danny granger?

yes they are
let me explain
When i get those black n white pics of the bhed there is no bitmap inside
only
index.fsh
teaxture0!head.dds
teaxture0!head.png

when i do get the bitmap file b/w there is no alpha
this happens whenever i use Fshline current version or a different
its never the same using one or the other
then when i move the dds to the 1st folder replacing the old one i continue to follow those steps still same results
i really needed to figure this out as i wanted to put myself in game with portraits etc.
Wish it was another way besides Fshline because things were going good up until this point.... :| confused

Are you copying the alpha file or the bhed?

Okay.
Open your image editor and your cyberface. Check the channels to see if there is an alpha channel and the actual grayscale texture (not just a white or black alpha channel) as well as red-green-blue channels. If there is no alpha channel, that is your problem. To fix this-
Open Danny granger cyberface that has the alpha. I know it has the alpha looking at the pic you showed me, but check the channels to make sure it has one. Copy your cyberface over his and save it to a dds file in dxt3 format with a new name.
Move that dds file into danny grangers extracted fsh folder and delete or move the other one, changing your cyberface dds filename to texture0!head.dds so it can import.
Delete the texture0!head.PNG file.
Drag index.fsh to fshline.
Rename danny grangers fsh to match your playerpkg.

This should have worked successfully. If it did not, there is something else wrong. Post your cyberface dds file and the danny granger fsh and I will try it myself.

ok just opened it up in my image editor went to channels and i have
RGB
RED
GREEN
BLUE
ALPHA 1(this was unchecked)
should i turn it on? i haven't followed the rest of the steps yet i just came right back to let you know that when i went to channels it had alpha 1 unchecked

No, checking it just displays it in the program. If you want to uncheck the rgb and check the alpha to make sure it has the grayscale texture that is fine, but it has nothing to do with whether it is being saved or not.

Image
Maybe its the headshape or something it either comes out looking like davis or granger but when the player has davis's face the goatee is not near the chin as if the face is too big

Then you need to edit the texture.
